* Emma's POV *

Once I'd showered and gotten dressed I headed down to the library, already hearing my boys bickering about something. I smiled to myself, shaking my head and slipping in unnoticed. I grabbed a book and sat next to Violet, sharing a small smile before we both went to reading.

"Hello?" I answered when my phone rang. "Did you guys find something?"

"We caught Hyde," my dad told me but didn't sound as happy as he should have. "We have him at the station but even Regina or Zelena's magic won't keep back the queen. Do you think you can come down?"

"Yeah, of course," I agreed. "I'll be down in a few minutes."

"What is it, love?" Killian asked when I hung up. "Where do we have to go?"

"I have to go to the station to contain Hyde," I said as I got up and put my phone in my pocket. "You stay here with the kids and I'm sure we'll all be back in no time."

"I'm going with you, Swan," he insisted, his eyes so serious I barely recognized them. "Even if they caught Hyde, the queen is still out there and trying to get to you."

"Which is why I need you here with Henry," I said so only he'd hear, taking his hand gently and making sure he met my eyes. "I know you're worried, but I don't have time to argue with you. There's no one I'd trust more with my kid like this, please just stay with him?"

"Fine," he relented with a sigh, pulling me against him for a kiss that bordered on inappropriate in front of Henry and Violet. "Just be careful and come home to me. I don't know what I'd do without my Emma here to keep me in line."

"It's only a few minutes," I assured him and kissed his cheek before pulling away. "Be good, kid. I'll be back soon."

"Bye, mom," he smiled from his place on the sofa with Violet, the two of them ridiculously close.

*Killian's POV *

"You okay?" Henry asked me after Emma left and I sat in the chair next to the sofa. "You know mom will be fine, she always is."

"I know, lad," I sighed, running my hand through my hair anxiously. "I just don't like her being out there alone, it makes me nervous."

"Did you ever get to ask her to marry you?" Violet asked, blushing when I looked up at her. "Sorry, Henry told me. I think it's really sweet, the way you two seem to love each other despite everything that's happened."

"I suppose," I half smiled, looking out at the floor. "My entire life the sea was my only love, the only thing that truly knew me. But now I can honestly say that that woman knows me better than I know myself, and I love her more than life itself."

"Did you really trade your ship for her?" She continued to question me, her curiosity making me let out a short laugh. "I know I shouldn't pry, it's very inappropriate, it's just different when the story is happening right in front of me instead of being told to me later."

"No, I don't mind," I assured her, seeing her relax a bit. "And yes, I traded my ship to get back to this land to bring her and the lad here back to their family. Even if she didn't want me, they both needed to know who they are and be with the people who love them."

"Wow," she said under her breath, seeming to be studying me. "It seems my father was wrong about pirates, not all of them are bad."

*Emma's POV *

"Hey," I greeted everyone when I walked into the station and they all looked at me. "What's going on?"

"He was lurking down by the docks," my dad sighed. "We didn't find anything unusual, but we'll have to do a more thorough search once he's taken care of."

"Hopefully this means we can get back to our own houses," my mom said as she sat down and I went over to Regina. "Neal never sleeps very well when he's not at home."

"As much as I enjoy the hero slumber party," Zelena rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "I'd rather not be sharing a hallway with two happy couples. I don't want to be woken up in the middle of the night by-"

"That's enough," Regina stopped her quickly. "Let's just get this spell cast so we can all finally go home."

"Alright," I said though my head was now anywhere but here at the mention of home. "Just show me what to do."

I read the spell she showed me and we set to work. Hyde was unconscious as the three of us performed a complex form of blood magic, sealing him in the cell unless all three of us were there to let him out. As the buzz of magic died in the room I heard a soft gasp.

"Emma, what is that?" My mom asked and I looked over to see her eyes on my left hand. "Is that what I think it is?"

"Oh, that's, uhm," I cleared my throat, smiling a bit as the fingers of my other hand found my ring. "That's my engagement ring. We never got a chance to tell you with everything going on."

"Oh my god," she immediately gushed, practically tackling me into a tight hug. "I'm so happy for you! We have to start planning!"

"Thanks," I laughed a bit as she pulled away to examine my ring. "But I think the planning should wait until we take care of all of this."

"Nonsense," she insisted. "We can figure something out, you deserve a proper wedding."

"We'll see," I half smiled, humoring her for the moment. "I'll talk to Killian about it when we get home."

After that we headed back to the Sorcerer's house to get our stuff. I was the last one inside and the second the door closed behind me Killian was there, grabbing me into his arms for a tight hug. I smiled to myself, wrapping my arms around his neck and seeing my mom smiling at us over his shoulder where my chin rested.

"You're back," he sighed, squeezing me closer and burying his face in my hair. "Thank god you're alright."

"I told you I'd be fine," I said as I pulled away, kissing his cheek before meeting his eyes. "Now half that mess is contained, and we can go home."

"Go home?" He asked, cocking his eyebrow. "As in back to our house?"

"Yes," I laughed a bit, glad everyone else had gone to pack their things. "And Regina's taking Henry, so it'll just be you and me."

"Alone?" He questioned and I bit my lip to keep from grinning as a smirk grew on his face. "Then I have preparations to make if you're still up for it. I'll pick you up at home later?"

I nodded and he grinned, kissing me quickly but deeply before running out the door. I giggled to myself, shaking my head as I went to pack our things so I could go home and get ready for our date.

Sorry, loves, I'm totally stuck with this story, so I'm going to do a total fluff chapter. Though I do warn you, there will be smut. I'll mark it off so you can skip it if you want like I always do, but I'm just letting you know. Also, if you have any suggestions, please share. I'm dying.
