*Emma's POV*

"Swan?" Killian repeated, coming to sit on the edge of the bed in front of me and picking one of the tests up to examine it. "What the bloody hell are these and why do you look like you've seen a ghost?"

"I, uhm," I stumbled to find the words. "I guess this is when we get around to talking then. Do you mind staying behind with me for a while?"

"Of course not," he said with concern, taking my hand and scooting closer. "Emma, what's going on?"

"I figured out what the queen wants," I said quietly and he cocked his eyebrow. "And it's-it's not easy to explain."

"Why not?" he asked gently, lifting my chin when I looked down and making me meet his eyes. "Emma, it's me. You know you can tell me anything, no matter what."

"We just... never talked this far ahead and I," I stopped, swallowing a sob when I realized how true what I was about to say was. "I'm not ready to watch you run away from me. Anyone else, but not you."

"Baby, I'm never going anywhere," he said as he brought me into his arms, hugging me tightly as I hid my face in the side of his neck. "Not ever. Why would you ever think that?"

"Because I'm pregnant," I said quietly and he pulled away to look at me with wide eyes, mine fixed on my engagement ring as I twisted it around my finger. "That's what you're holding. It's a pregnancy test, a positive one. I threw up this morning while you were asleep, that's what she was talking about. Morning sickness."

"Really?" he breathed in awe. "Y-you're with child?"

"Yeah," I said weakly, closing my eyes as I prepared for him to run but he did exactly the opposite. I was taken completely off guard when his lips met mine, quickly melting into him and sliding my hands into his hair as I kissed him back. "Mmm... well that was unexpected. You're not upset?"

"I couldn't be happier if I tried," he smiled, kissing me softly repeatedly until I giggled at him. "My love is having my baby, how could I ever be upset about that?"

"Because we never talked about anything like this," I sighed, pulling away to look at him with my  hands on his chest. "And I... was afraid you'd think it wasn't yours because of everything that happened."

"Of course it's mine," he said as he brushed my cheek with his thumb. "You said they didn't... and I believe you. Besides, it'd be mine either way."

"How are you so sure?" I asked. "I'd never lie to you, but I'm curious."

"Two reasons," he sighed, taking off his jacket and sitting behind me so I was between his legs with his arms around me. "First of all, no pirate would make it even possible to get a woman pregnant. They'd, uhm, finish elsewhere so that wouldn't happen. And second of all, I firmly believe that it's much more likely that a man a woman wants will get her pregnant as opposed to someone forced on her. Not to say that doesn't happen by any means, but a struggle seems like it'd be much less likely."

"Okay," I allowed, running my hands over his arms and looking at him over my shoulder with my eyebrow raised. "But you didn't... finish elsewhere, and you're a pirate."

"Aye, well," he blushed, glancing down with embarrassment. "But I'm your pirate, Swan. I love you. I was never worried about that, if it happened it happened."

"Well it happened," I teased him a bit and he smiled. "Probably like, the first time. I probably should have gone on birth control or something."

"Well we didn't exactly plan ahead," he pointed out, sliding his hand to my stomach. "We just assumed it wouldn't happen so fast... but I can't say I'm at all disappointed that it did."

"Me either," I admitted, leaning my head back on his shoulder and thinking back to when I was waiting for the tests as I picked up the picture. "You know, for the first time I can actually see myself with a baby. Me, my boys... and a baby."

"Your boys?" he teased me and I smiled as he kissed my cheek. "Yeah, I guess that's about right. But the queen was right about one thing, I'm not letting you take any chances."

"I don't doubt that," I sighed, putting my hand with his on my stomach. "Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure this is what she's after."

"Then she should get used to disappointment," he said simply, threading his fingers through mine. "Because I can guarantee she won't be getting it. She'd have to kill both of us first."

"Like she's above doing that?" I reminded him, looking back at him over my shoulder. "And we all know how easy it is for someone with dark magic to speed up a pregnancy. She could make me give birth tomorrow and kill us without a second thought."

"And that's why we're going to be ridiculously careful," He nodded, holding me tighter to try to comfort me. "I'd lost all hope of a future with you but now we get a second chance, a real one. We get to get married and have a child, a real life together, and I'm not letting anyone take that away, much less some psychotic witch. We have a whole family to make sure you're safe."

"About that," I started and he cocked his eyebrow. "I... don't want to tell anyone else. I told Henry earlier when he was upset, and Regina got me the tests, but my parents..."

"You don't want them to know?" he asked with confusion. "Love, they can help keep you safe. If we don't tell them they're not going to understand why we're all being so careful of you."

"Besides that you're extremely over protective?" I tried to tease him but then sighed. "You know how they are, I just can't. They're going to freak out when they find out, especially my dad."

"I have no doubt he'll punch me in the face at least," he nodded. "But they know what it is to fear for your unborn child like this, they might be able to offer some comfort."

"What are they going to be able to say?" I shook my head, tucking my face into the crook of his neck. "They didn't even meet me until I was twenty eight after holding me once, and Neal was ripped from my mother's arms minutes after he was born. Even Henry was sent away right after he was born, babies in this family just get passed around and barely see their parents. I don't want that for our baby."

"That's not going to happen, I promise you," he said as he kissed my hair. "You're going to have a perfectly wonderful pregnancy and you and I are going to keep this baby close, always. I don't care what we have to do."

"I hope you know how much you're going to have to tell me that," I sighed, closing my eyes and just letting him hold me. "Because I have no idea what I'm doing and I refuse to do what I did last time I felt like this."

"I'll tell you every day, my love," he assured me quietly, his lips brushing my forehead as we sat in comfortable silence together.

*Writer's POV*

"She told you, didn't she?" Regina asked her son quietly while his grandparents questioned Hyde and he smiled as he nodded. "And you're... okay?"

"Of course I am," he said with a bit of confusion. "Why wouldn't I be?"

"Because," she started, trying to be delicate with him. "One of your moms is having another baby, one she's most likely keeping, it might be hard for you."

"Not really," he shook his head, his eyebrows pulling together as he though about it. "She's been through a lot, she should be happy. I know she loves me."

"Good," she smiled a bit, proud that her son understood. "Now let's try to protect your sister or brother without letting anyone else know they exist."

"We don't have time for your rambling," David snapped at Hyde. "She's obviously not coming for you, so why are you protecting her? Why has she been waiting for Emma?"

"Because she's been waiting for her to be happy," he smirked, taking sick pleasure in torturing them. "The Savior is the product of true love, and now she has true love, so she's been patient. Waiting to take the Savior's baby."
