* Emma's POV *

We sprinted through the woods, wasting no time even attempting to get the horse back. I all but fell as I stumbled down a hill, letting out a surprised squeal when something grabbed my wrist and yanked me into a small hidden cave. I panicked until my eyes met Killian's as he held me against him, his hand over my mouth to keep me quiet. He had question in his eyes and I nodded a bit in response, his thumb running along my bottom lip as he moved his hand.

"Where the hell did they go?!" I heard my father yell and we shrunk further into the shadows of the cave when all the horses stopped on top of the mostly underground structure. "They were just here! Spread out and cover the entire area, I'm going to talk to that imp."

"Yes, your majesty," they all agreed and soon the sound of hooves disappeared.

"Looks like we're hiding here for a while," Killian sighed quietly, looking back at my eyes and brushing my hair away from my face. "Are you alright? I didn't mean to hurt you, but I was pretty rough when I yanked you in here."

"I'm okay," I assured him, looking out of the small opening to the cave to the quiet forrest. "How long do you think we'll have to stay here? We're supposed to meet your crew."

"Just until your father moves to another area of the forrest," he said but sounded uncertain. "We might have to walk through the night, but we'll get there. Besides, my crew knows by now what to do when we're on the run, don't worry."

"If you say so," I nodded, still scanning the forrest until he gently turned my chin to press a few soft kisses to my lips. "What was that for?"

"To help you relax," he smiled a bit, kissing me once more. "And I felt like kissing you. Now you should rest while you can."

"Okay," I agreed, not wanting to argue over something so small. He dug a blanket out of the bag, laying it out and sitting against the stone wall before having me sit between his legs with his arms around me. "Thank you. For taking care of me, I mean."

"Of course, love," he smiled, kissing my cheek and sliding his hand to my stomach. "How's our girl doing?"

"She's fine, too," I smiled, resting my hands on my stomach with his and leaning my head back on his shoulder. "I still can't believe it's a girl. We're actually having a daughter."

"Aye, that we are," he said as his smile grew against the side of my neck and I moved one of my hands up to toy with the hair at the back of his neck. "To be honest that's what I was hoping for."

"Oh really?" I asked with surprise, raising my eyebrows as I looked at him over my shoulder. "And why would the fearsome Captain Hook want a little girl instead of a little pirate?"

"Who said she can't be a pirate?" He smirked but I could see the blush coming to his cheeks. "But honestly? I want our baby to be just like you. Smart, and stubborn, and so beautiful it hurts. Absolutely perfect."

"Killian..." I said quietly, unable to even find the words.

"You are," he half smiled and I knew that in his eyes that's exactly what I was, just as every little thing about him just made me love him more. "You're my perfect Swan, having my perfect baby girl. And besides, it might make it easier for Henry with this first one being a girl."

"Yeah, I guess it would," I agreed, thinking about how much harder it would have been if my parents had had another girl. "Wait, did you say first one? Is there something you you need to tell me?"

"Oh, uhm," he laughed a bit nervously, scratching behind his ear and avoiding my eyes as he turned bright red. "I didn't mean... I just thought I'd leave that option open."

"Hey, don't be shy," I smiled, turning a bit more and putting my hand on his cheek. "It's just me, and I think it's really cute."

"You do?" He asked quietly, only barely looking up at me at first. "Why?"

"Because I find most things about you adorable," I smiled, giving him a sweet kiss that made him smile a bit as well. "So how many kids do you want?"

"I don't know really," he sighed, his cheeks still bright red. "I guess I just see us as some point with a house full of kids running around. A big family was something I never had and always wished I did."

"I know what you mean," I agreed with a small sigh, glancing down at our hands as I put mine over his on my stomach. "But why don't we see how things go with this one first? I've never actually raised a baby, so I just want to be sure I can do this."

"I'm not worried," he half smiled, kissing my cheek. "Did you want something to eat while we have time?"

"Sure," I nodded and he grabbed the bag. "But only if you eat too."

"Love, you know we have to conserve our supplies," he sighed, only pulling out one sandwich. "And you need to eat much more than I do to keep you and our little girl healthy."

"Then you're splitting this one with me," I said simply, trying to give him half but he wouldn't take it. "Either we both eat or neither of us do."

"Swan-" he tried but I literally shoved the sandwich in his mouth.

"Just eat," I giggled and he laughed with his mouth full as I started eating as well. "See? That wasn't so hard."

"This is why I love you," he laughed but we froze when we heard horses again. We could hear them arguing, none of them wanting to be the one to tell my father they hadn't found us.

"What are you all bickering about?" My father snapped as he rode up, all of them directly above us making my heart race in panic. "Why isn't my daughter with you?"

"We didn't find them, sir," one of them said guiltily. "We searched the entire area, they must have moved on."

"You mean they got away," he said angrily, clearly fighting to stay calm. "Fine. Let's go before I find a reason to punch one of you."

"Oh my god," I sagged with relief once they rode away. "That was terrifying."

"It's alright, Swan," he assured me, holding me tighter and kissing my cheek before standing up. "Just finish eating and I'll go try to find your horse."

"Be careful," I practically begged him, pulling him down by his collar for a quick but passionate kiss that made him swallow hard and look almost dizzy when I pulled away. "I don't want anything happening to you."

"Nothing will happen to me," he promised, his eyes still hungry. "But all manner of things are going to happen to you when we get back to my ship."

I bit my lip as I smiled, seeing his eyes darken even more before he forced himself to pull away. I gathered our things while he was gone, going to wait at the entrance. Out of nowhere someone grabbed me, pulling me up onto a horse.
