I.

I built us a house and the foundation was our love

But now that foundation

Is cracked

And

Crumbling

And I notice that you/r

Paintings have all been

Touched

By too many sweaty hands

So that they have become smudged

And

Unrecognizable

II.

I am now standing in this broken home

Watching as the ceiling falls

But I find that I had spent so much time memorizing

You

That I forgot to memorize the

Floor plan

And as I have never seen a reason to leave this home

I am lost and cannot get out

Won't you save me?

But, unfortunately you seem to have stranded me here

(I'm not exactly surprised, you always tracked mud in. You must have always known how to leave)

And I am afraid that I am going to die

In the house I built for you and I
