Chapter six

I didn't want to say goodbye to Mikalya after we hung out, But sadly if I didn't get her home, She'd most likely pay for it. And I couldn't let that happen. So I got her back at an early time and so far I haven't heard from her. So maybe things are okay at home.

But that didn't last for long. Because she came running up my driveway about an hour later with tear stained cheeks and one puffy looking lip. My guess is her mom hit her again. And I felt my heart drop at the sound of her crying. Out of everything I hate, I hated seeing the girl I love crying the most. It broke my heart seeing my girl broken.

"Mikalya? What's wrong? What happened?" I asked as she threw herself into my arms.

"I-I went inside m-my house and my m-mom started yelling and she h-hit me because I-I didn't make her supper and so she got mad a-and she yelled and started hitting me and she said that I'm the worst daughter in the world, And I'm just done, I-I'm done Calum. I can't take t-the pain anymore." She said while crying into my chest.

"Shh, Baby what your mom says isn't true. She should take responsibility for making herself food, And let you live for once. She's not a baby, She needs to be a mother for once and not take her anger out on you all the time." I said while rubbing her back.

"But it's my fault, Cal. If I hadn't walked in on my dad, This would've never happened." I said.

"That's not true. Even if your mother walked in on your dad, I'm sure her anger would still be the same way. I wish I could take you away from her." I said.

"Or I could just leave, Nobody wants me anyways, What's the point in living anymore?" She whispered.

"Baby, Don't think that way. I need you. You mean the world to me. I never want you to leave. If you ended your life, My world would come crashing down. You've become my world, And I'm ready to take on any obstacle this relationship has to throw at us." I said while stroking my fingers through her hair.

She calmed down after I had said that and I saw a small smile creep onto her beautiful face that I wish I could just kiss all day and whisper to her how much she means to me, And how much I love her. When I hold her, I'm holding my world. And without her here, It's a worthless world. And it wouldn't even be a world of she left.

"Mikalya? Do you want me to play for you?" I asked her.

She gasped at my question. I know she's been dying to hear me play for her, And I saw the biggest smile appear on her adorable face at my question.

"Cal, I'd love too! Yes, Please!" She said.

"Okay, Let me go get my guitar. Just wait here." I said while giving her a kiss in the top of her head.

My nerves started to act up as I reached for my guitar. I haven't played for a while since my band and I haven't been on tour for a few months now, We're just taking a break for now. But I'm dreading the day we start our second world tour, Because then I'd have to leave Mikalya. And I'm not sure I can do that. Not when she's at a bad spot right now.

"Okay babe, Ready?" I asked her.

"Yes! I'm ready Cal!" She said happily as her smile reached to the corners of her face making the little dimples appear. That just made her ten times cuter. The little things about her make me fall more and more in love with her.

"Okay, So this song is a song me and my band wrote, It's called "The girl who cried wolf" I said.
I gave her a small smile before clearing my throat and began to sing.

"Every time you say to me it's over you just want to start again. It's just lies. The girl who cries wolf everyday ignored by gravity but in the end. Don't ask why."

"You say you wanna, But do you wanna run away great escape, Oh yeah. Where you going? All ways running, Find a way to call it quits again."

"So look at me in the eyes, Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? Cause I'm not dreaming. So look at me in the eyes, Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? Cause I'm not leaving."

I could see some tears forming in Mikalya's blue eyes as I kept on singing. I think this song is causing an impact on her. I stopped for a second to ask if she was okay.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes, Please keep going. This song is just so beautiful, I just love it." She said.

"Not as beautiful as you though." I said as I picked up where I left off.

"Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there, Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there, Is anyone there at all?"

"Look at me in the eyes. Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all? I'm not dreaming. Look at me in the eyes, Is anyone there at all? Is anyone there at all, Cause I'm not leaving." I sang while looking at Mikalya. I could sense this song meant something to her. And that made me both happy and sad.

"Cal, That was beautiful! I loved that song. You have to give me a copy of this song!" She said happily.

"For you, I'll give you a copy of our full album. It's not out yet, But I can give you one. Because I love you, And I'll do anything for you to make you happy." I said while taking her face in my hands and planting a soft kiss on her lips that I so desperately wanted to kiss all evening.

"Thank you Calum. That means a lot to me. I'm sure your album is just amazing!" She said.

"But you're more amazing." I said.

She just rolled her eyes and laughed as we cuddled up against a tree just soaking in each other's company. I loved having her in my arms, She was like my personal teddy bear I couldn't live without.

"Cal?" She asked.

"Yes, Babe?" I said.

"Do you think my mom will ever forgive me? I mean it kinda was fault my dad and my mom broke up." She said shyly.

"Mikalya, It wasn't your fault. You didn't know he was with another woman until you walked in on him. Please stop beating yourself up over that. He was the one who cheated on your mom. That wasn't your fault at all, Baby." I said.

"I just fell bad for my mom. I mean that couldn't have been easy on her. I know it wasn't easy on me." She said.

"I know it's tough, But trust me. I'll all ways be here for you. No matter what happens. I love you, Mikalya. Never forget that." I said.

"I love you too, Calum. You have no idea how much you mean to me. I never want to let you go." She said while looking at me.

I started to lean in for a kiss, But her phone stopped us and the look on her face as she answered made my face drop into a worry.

Why does she have to go through this?

So, Cal played her a song, Awe! And she loved it! So that's good. But sadly that moment ended when her phone went off, And I bet you guys can guess who that is. But, I'm going to say this, This time around with her mother will probably be her last time with her. Because who would want to be with a mom like that? Nobody! That's who!

Also, Can Cal keep her safe and keep her from harming her self? Can he be her cure?
