Chapter eleven

"Mikalya? You should really try going back to school today. I know it'll be hard, But sweetie you'll have Calum! And the boy's as well! I'm sure you'll do great."

I heard my mom say to Mikalya as they were in the kitchen.

"I know Joy, But I don't know if I can handle it. I mean I lost my mother, I've been in the hospital off and on all last week. I just don't know about school yet." Mikalya said sadly.

"How about this sweetie. You try this month and see how it goes, And if you don't think you can handle it, I'll sign you up for online school. But if you do fine there after this month I'll keep you in school. But make a special request to have you stay by Calum and the boys at all times." She said.

"Thank you, Joy! I really appreciate that!" Mikalya said while giving my mom a hug.

"Hey guys!" I said while stepping into the kitchen.

"Hi Cal! How are you this morning?" My mom asked.

"Fine! How are you guys?" I asked.

"We're just fine. Mikalya and I have agreed to try school again." My mom said.

"Oh great! I'm sure things will be just fine, Mikalya." I said happily.

"Yeah, Maybe." She said shyly.

"So, Shall we get ready then?" I asked.

"Yeah, Let's do this." She said.

I let her have the bathroom first since she takes longer to get ready. But I'm pretty sure I heard soft sobs while she took her shower. I felt bad, But maybe this will be good for her. Maybe a new distraction from all the bad things that happened recently will help her. But you never know.

"All done in there, Babe?" I asked through the door.

"Y-yeah, I'll be out in a sec." She said.

She got out and hid her face a little while heading into her room. Since she didn't feel comfortable to be at her house anymore we allowed her to move into here. She's using Malikoa's old room.

"You'll do great baby, I'll be right by your side all day. Don't worry." I said while stopping her in the hall way.

"Thanks Cal. Meet you down stairs." She said.

I jumped into the shower and got ready so I could meet Mikalya down stairs and head out for school. I know she's worried, But I don't see what she has to be worried about. As long and me and the guys are there for her, She'll be fine.

"Okay, See you after school mom!" I yelled.

"Okay, Have a good day guys!" She yelled back.

"Stay by me?" Mikalya asked.

"All ways." I said while kissing her hand that was interlocked with mine as we drove off to school.

We arrived at school and I felt Mikalya tense up. But I rubbed her back to help her calm down.

"Okay, You can do this baby. I know you can. I'll be right by your side too. You'll be fine." I said while giving her a soft kiss before heading into the school.

There were eyes locked on us. I knew this would happen since we haven't been at school for over a month. But I'm sure some will understand. If not, Well they can back off.
