Chapter seven

                Calum's P.O.V.

I rushed to Mikalya's house as soon as I ended the call. Apparently her mother was passed out on the couch but she stopped breathing. I know her mom is horrible to Mikalya, But I know she would be very heart broken if she drank her self to death. Although she says that some days it feels like she will someday, It scared her everyday that she'll walk in and see her mother dead.

I rushed into the hospital as soon as I reached the parking lot to find Mikalya. I found that beautiful reddish blonde haired girl that happens to be my girlfriend pacing back and forth in the lobby.

She looked up from her gaze on the floor and ran into my arms the minute she saw me.

"Calum!" She yelled while rushing into my arms.

"Mikalya! Are you okay? Is your mom okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine, I guess. And my mom's got kidney damage. Her drinking has damaged her kidneys. The doctor is going to have a firm talk with her about how much she needs to cut back on her alcohol intake per day. This might end badly." She said with a slight panic in her voice.

"Well hey, If she can't drink anymore won't that be a good thing? Then she'll get better and maybe treat you better!" I said hopefully.

"I doubt it. But maybe." She said sadly.

"Mrs.Rivers?" A nurse called out.

"Yes!" Mikalya said while walking up to her.

"Hello, Your mother is okay. No serious kidney damage. But you will need to find away to keep her away from alcohol, Or at least monitor how much she drinks. Probably no more then a glass a day. Not a whole bottle like she used to do. Make sure she stops binge drinking. If she doesn't want to die, she will follow the instructions." The nurse said while giving Mikalya a sad smile.

"Thank you." Mikalya said with a shaky voice.

"You'll be okay, Babe. I'll be here to help you out. I know this will be hard for your mother to handle, But if she gets angry come to my house. I'll help you." I said while giving her a kiss on the head.

"Thanks Calum. I'm going to get my mom checked out and bring her home. I'll maybe see you later. But I'll text you how things are after a while." She said while giving me a quick kiss and going to get her mom.

I saw her mom acting all nice and not like how she is normally. Her fake actions were making me angry. Her mom was good at acting. I just worry her mother will rip her smiley nice mask off as soon as they get home and take her anger out on my girl. And sadly if that does happen I won't be there for her because Mikalya told me to go home.

But, Maybe her mom will be thankful her daughter saved her life and brought her into the doctor. Mikalya could've let her mom just lay there passed out all night and not even cared. But despite her mothers actions towards her, Mikalya is still the caring, Loving daughter her mother should be thankful to have.

I went to my car to head home, but my heart started to thump out of my chest as I saw Mikalya and her mother driving away. "Please let her mother be nice and not be angry with Mikalya when she get's home." I thought as I drove off.

"Hi honey! Is everything okay?" My mom said as I stepped into my house.

"Yeah, I guess. Mikalya's mom just drank to much last night and she ended up passing out and she stopped breathing. But she's okay. But I'm not so sure about Mikalya. She seemed worried as she drove off for home. I just hope she'll be okay." I said sadly.
