Don't let go ~ Miggie

Chapter 3

Diggie's POV

I really have to tell Maddie I like her. I mean like, this is my chance, we're on a vacation together that's the best opportunity you could ever ask for.

We just arrived and the ride went pretty good. Our beach house is huge, I don't even know how they got the money to buy that thing! Maddie and Liv share one room, Joey and Parker share a room and I luckily got my one one because sharing a room with Joey is probably extremely annoying, except you are into zombies and rockets.

Anyways so I was about to unpack my stuff when I heard a knock on the door. "Come in!", I yelled. Maddie came in and I smiled at her. She came over to me and asked, "Whatcha doing?" "Um, actually I was about to unpack, why?", I replied. "I wanted to ask if u wanted to come to the town, mom and dad have to buy groceries anyways so they would give us a ride. We could go and look for a basketball court or just go to the mall but that does sound like a plan B to me. What're you saying?", Maddie asked.

"Yea sounds good I'll just go and change real quick.", I said. "Okay, I'll wait for you down stairs.", Maddie said. She walked out of the room and I changed into comfy pants and a sweater since we're going off to go find a basketball court.

Maddie already is in basketball clothing so I don't think she has changed. I walked out of my room, shut the door and walked down stairs. Wow, I still gotta adjust to that house it's huge, I feel like I could lose myself in here.

Maddie's POV

Liv is currently down at the beach looking for some boys and Joey and Parker are doing who knows what. Diggie came down stairs and he looked so cute once again. Why am I keep saying this, he's adorable all the time! Mom and Dad said they'd wait in the car.

"Shall we go?", Diggie asked. "Yea sure, oh wait, hold on a second though." I went to the kitchen and grabbed a gum and put it in my mouth, just incase. "Okay, now we can go.", I said. Diggie laughed a bit which made me chuckle a bit too. We went outside and sit in the car. I put my seatbelt on and so did Diggie.

The car ride is pretty short so I think we'll be there in 15 minutes. Mom played some songs on the radio and all of us sang along. Wow, Diggie is good looking, a jock and an amazing singer, I think I really fall for him, badly!

Diggie's POV

We've been driving for ten minutes now and Miss Rooney said we'll be there in possibly five. Maddie and I haven't had an actual convo in the car yet but we were singing along to some songs, her voice is so adorable! "Wanna go to the mall first or find the court?", I asked wanting to start a conversation. "I'd say go and and find the court first.", Maddie replied. I didn't really know what to say right now so I just kept looking out the window.

Once we were there Miss Rooney said, "So, Pete and I will go groceries shopping now, you two do whatever you wanted to do now , but please make sure you'll be here in two hours again okay?" Maddie and I both nod and walked of. This awkward silence was here again and I can tell Maddie was a little unsure what to say now too. "So...", I said. "So...", Maddie said coping me. "Do you have the tiniest clue where we have to go?", I asked trying to start a convo again. "Not at all.", Maddie said laughing a bit.

I walked pretty close by Maddie and suddenly our hands brushed against each other. Maddie blushed like crazy and tried to hide her face, I was smiling at her and watched at how cute she is when she's blushing. We kept walking and I don't know why but I really wanted to grab her hand and never ever let it go again. Okay that's clearly a lie, I totally knew why I wanted to hold her hand.

Maddie's POV

Our hands brushed against each other and I started to blush. I could feel myself getting redder and redder. I didn't want Diggie to know I was so red so I tried to hide my face but I don't think that went well.

I suddenly felt someone grabbing my hand and I instantly got butterflies in my stomach. My eyes went to my hands which are in Diggie's and then I looked up to his cute face. He smiled and I smiled back.

I don't think I could ever got more red and Diggie chuckled a bit, I suppose that was because I was blushing so incredibly hard. I didn't want to let go of his hands so we just kept walking again. There was a silence again, but this time it actually wasn't awkward at all. I enjoyed every minute holding his hands because It just felt so right.
