Chapter 16

Maddie's POV

I'm still standing here in the bathroom in front of the mirror, crying. A bunch of people have come here yet, and all of them just stared at me confusedly.

I'm really upset, as you can tell, but I'm also mad at Diggie that he just let her flirt with him, and after I stood up and walked away, not even looked for me.

In this moment though, the door opened. I wasn't even looking at it, because I was sure it's just another costumer, but when I heard a familiar voice saying "Maddie" I turned around. I saw Diggie and just cried even more then. He came to me and took my hands into his.

"Maddie, I'm so sorry. I really didn't realize, Lauren was flirting with me. I thought she'd be different and not so... pushy if you know what I mean" Diggie said. I kept staring at my hands because this was a really uncomfortable situation. "Why did you lie, and told her I was just a friend" I asked, still crying. "I introduced you as a friend, because I didn't wanna make her feel bad. She had a really rough past and not much luck with boys either. All of her ex' either cheated on her or even just used her. I just couldn't tell her I found the love of my life already" he answered. I blushed a lot through my tears. I felt him lifting my chin so I was looking into his gorgeous brown eyes, as he said "I will never ever let something like that happen again. I love you so much and you need to know this."

"I love you too" I said "so much" I added.

"We good?" Diggie asked. "Yea" I replied. He gave me a kiss on the lips and I smiled through it.
