Chapter 20

This evening...

Maddie's POV

Turns out, Josh is a really nice guy. He's a real gentleman and I think Liv and him match perfectly. Once we were in the restaurant he pulled Liv's chair out, for her to sit on it. I think he'll treat her right.

Liv and Josh sat next to each other, and so did Diggie and I. After we've ordered our food and drinks we started an actual convo.

"So Josh, since when are you here in vacation?" I asked grabbing my glass and bring it up to my lips. He chuckled a bit which confused me. It was just a normal question, right? "Um yea, I was originally at a funeral a couple days ago," he made a little break and chuckled again "but since I've met Liv it is like vacation for me," he added. I 'awed' at him, being so super cute to Liv. I could see her getting extremely red.

Our convo went on a little as the waitress brought us our food. She gave Josh a dead glance which kind of scared me. Who was that and what problem could she possibly have with him. I saw him glance back with no expression. What was that all about?

Josh's POV

My only job here is to bring them Liv and Maddie. When I said, that I originally only came here because of a funeral, I lied. This waitress wasn't actually a waitress, she is my godmother. My parents died a couple years ago, and I'm still a minor, so she got custody for me. I thought she was different, but I like it how things are going though. She works for a secret agency, who's kidnapping girls under 20 and get money for "renting" them for raping. I've never done it before, but Blair said (my godmother) that I could do it the first time with Liv or Maddie, that's why I agreed to this project.

Since Liv is famous and Maddie pretty popular because she's her sister and has a great basketball career, it was not hard for me to find them. Liv really thinks that I like her. Ew, I mean, how could a guy possibly like this woman? She's so bubbly it literally makes me sick.

The other ones kept asked me questions about me and my personal life and, of course, I always lied to them. Blair said, I have to get them to really like me until I can finally have fun.

Diggie's POV

Our evening went great. I can tell Liv is totally in love, which makes me happy, because she's always been like a sister to me. Although I don't really trust this Josh guy, he just seems so fake to me. I'm pretty sure Liv and Maddie both do though. I should just drop it and act like I like him. It just seems so wrong.

After we've all been home again, Liv straightly went up to her room. Maddie and I agreed on watching a movie before going to sleep though. We went up to my room since I literally just reminded that I took my laptop with me. Both of us changed into some comfy clothes and ended up watching some comedy romance together.

After the movie Maddie almost fell asleep. Since she laid beside me, I had my arms wrapped around me and I stroked her hair.

I pulled Maddie close to me and kept stroking her. She's fallen asleep by now. I gave her a kiss on her cheek and said "Good night beautiful. I love you so much."
After a couple minutes I found myself sleeping too.

Next morning...

I woke up as the first sunshines shun into my room, so it's blinded me. I found myself still with wrapped arms around Maddie's tiny body, which was snuggled into me. I enjoyed the feeling of her warm embrace on my body. Her eyes we're still closed, which was obvious because she was still asleep, and her small hands had a tight grip on my shirt, I was still wearing since I was too tired to change into my actual pj yesterday. Also Maddie has still worn sweatpants and some tank top from yesterday.

I decided to just stay like this and watch her sleeping a little. I shouldn't had to think I'm a creep, right? I mean she's my girlfriend, it's okay when I do that? Either ways I kept watching her for a pretty long time actually, when she finally woke up. She opened her eyes and smiled at me. "Hey sleeping beauty," I said. She scrunched her face. "You reek out of your mouth," she replied. "Good morning to you too," I demanded. She giggled a little. "Sorry," she said. "It's okay, I have just fallen asleep before I could brush my teeth yesterday night," I replied. "And by the way, your breath isn't the best either," I added. She laughed a bit as she snuggled into me again.

After 5 more minutes cuddling, I wanted to stand up and to go into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I knew I had to talk to Maddie about Josh. I don't think we can trust him. My masculine instinct tells me he hides something, but I couldn't tell what though.

"Where are you going?" Maddie asked as I let go of her hand and stood up. "Brushing my teeth, I'll be right back. I have to talk to you about something," I answered. "Hurry please, I still haven't got a single kiss today!" she said. I chuckled as I walked into my bathroom and shut the door.
