Chapter 21

Maddie's POV

I was waiting for Diggie to get done whatever he was doing. I took the time and snuggled back into the sheets, which smelled exactly like Diggie.

"What are you doing?" Diggie asked as he chuckled. "Smelling your sheets which small like you," I answered. He shook his head and laid back into the bed. He went back to stroking my hair and I snuggled up into his chest. "You know I'm still waiting for my good morning kiss," I said. I looked up to him and made kiss lips. Diggie chuckled and gave me a quick peck. "That wasn't a kiss," I said a little bit annoyed.

He rolled his eyes, smiled and this time gave me a much more longer and passionate kiss than before. "Better?" He demanded. "Much," I replied.

"So you wanted to talk to me about something?" I asked. Diggie pushed himself up again to sit on the bed, I made the same thing to look him in the eyes.

"Um yea actually. You know, I don't really trust Josh. For me he just seems so... i don't know, wrong. I feel like he keeps something from us. I don't think he said the truth about being here because of a funeral. I mean let's be honest, he didn't seem sad at all that someone he knew died. Mostly you need a little to even accept that. And he just acted like he didn't even care and all of the sudden he got a new girlfriend? That's seems so strange to me."

I did trust Josh completely, but now as Diggie said that, I feel like he's so right. Everything seems so strange. "Maybe he didn't have a strong bond to that person. It could have been a friend from his parents," I said. I laid back on the bed because I haven't got enough strength to stay sitting. "Yea you're right, but still he seems so weird. I think he's bad news," Diggie said.

"Yea you could be right. Let's just wait and watch," I said.

Later that day...

I know Liv and Josh did something together again today. The thought of Josh betraying Liv flew through my mind a lot lately. I'm really worried about her, what if anything happens?
I couldn't help but write Liv a message.

M: Everything alright with y'all?
L: Everything is just great. Why are you asking, did something happen?
M: All alright. Just curious.

I let out a huge sigh of relief. I didn't get a reply after that, which was fine. I knew she was good and that was all that mattered.

It was currently 6.27pm and my parents where surprisingly home. They've been going to related out here a lot during the day, which is fine to me because I'm always doing something with Diggie.

Joey and Parker have been playing this Pokémon game on they're phones non stop lately. I have also seen a lot of other people playing it at the beach or at the mall. Even Diggie downloaded this app and is playing it with Joey and Parker right now.

I can't believe that we've only been here for a couple days yet, so much happened. Diggie and I got a couple and we're already pretty far in our relationship, but that's probably because we've known us before we've started to like each other, well actually I always liked him, but you know. I already cried because of him, or let's say because of stupid Lauren. And Liv has also found a guy she like, and now I hope he's just fine.

We all agreed to stay something around a week, which means we'll leave in 2-3 days.

Diggie was still gone and I was so bored I could've died. I decided to watch some random movies on Netflix. I even heard Liv coming home again, so it must've been evening lately. I ended up falling asleep on the couch, around 8pm.

Diggie's POV

I tippy toed into the house around 10pm. I know Mister and Miss Rooney sleep early which means I had to be quiet. I saw Maddie asleep on the couch and smiled. I bended down to her level and gave her a kiss on the cheek. I stroked a streak of her hair behind her ear and watched her sleeping peacefully. How did I get so lucky? I stood up and walked into the kitchen. I met another guy on the beach who also played pokémon go so we played together, he's actually pretty cool and his name is Holden. He even gave me his number, but that shouldn't be weird, I'm with Maddie, but you know like buddies.

I grabbed water out of the fridge and drank a lot, since I have not been drinking for a long time now. I put the water back into to the fridge and went the the living room again, where I can't help but smile when I see Maddie sleeping.

I picked her up, and carried her bridal style into her and Liv's bedroom, where I gave her a kiss on the forehead and said "I love you."
I turned my head where I found Liv in her bed.  I smiled leaving the two of them sleeping peacefully. I walked into my room, and went to bed as I very soon drifted into dream.

I'm such an idiot for not updating more often. But I'm currently in vacation so I barely have time to write. But I'll do my best bc y'all know how much I love the fact that some people enjoy reading my story.
