Don't let go ~ Miggie

Chapter 9

Diggie's POV

After I payed, we walked out of the store. I grabbed Maddie's hand and looked down to her, she was smiling. I smiled back and kept walking. We wanted to just walk through the mall a little and see what shops they have. After walking around for like five minutes we suddenly bumped into Williow. "Williow, what are you doing here?", Maddie asked. "Maddie, Diggie? What are you doing here holding hands?", Willow asked kinda surprised. "Um, well thats a long story, we're gonna tell you another time but why are you here?", I said.

She added a huge smile on here face and said, "I have a date!". "Williow, that's great! Who's the lucky guy?", Maddie said. "A boy I met at the froyo in Wisconsin. His name is Adam and we started a convo and I really like him. He lives here so I'm gonna meet him here", she replied. "Well then, have a nice date!", I said. "Yea, see you soon, I'll call ya", Maddie said. "Thank you, bye", she said and walked off.

Maddie and I kept walking a bit as she said, "I'm so happy for Williow, she's amazing and one of my best friends. I hope this will work out". "Yea she's great, I like her a lot.... Um I mean... Just as friends obviously", I stuttered. Maddie giggled a bit and said, "it's okay, I get it". I sighed in relief as I said, "you hungry?". "Yea I am actually, wanna grab something to eat?", Maddie said. "Yea sure, why not", I replied.

We ended up going to some food store and we both got some salad. After we finished eating we walked through the mall again and suddenly Maddie saw a shop she apparently wanted to visit, "Omg Diggie, hold on I really wanna go in this store. It has beautiful jewelry and other neat stuff!" she gushed. "Well then, let it be", I said. She gave a small smile and practically ran in the store, with me walking behind her. I've seen the spark in her eyes and walked towards the thing she was staring at.

"What have you seen?" I asked her. "Nothing, just something I was looking for a whole while", she answered. "Show me". "Here", she said.

"Yea it's really pretty", I said and walked towards the cashier. "What are you doing?", Maddie asked. "Nothing", I replied with a small smile.

"What does this gold necklace cost?", I asked the cashier being sure Maddie doesn't notice what I'm doing. "$700", she replied. Wow, what do I not do for her? But I've got a plan, it shouldn't be that obvious to her.

Maddie's POV

I kept staring at that necklace I always wanted to have. Should I buy it? It's so freaking expensive. Then is when I notices Diggie isn't beside me anymore. "Diggie?", I asked. "Diggie?!", I halfway yelled. "Here", I heard his voice saying. I sighed in relief. I walked through the store seeing Diggie talking with the cashier. "What're you doing?", I asked him. "Oh nothing, I just wanted to know how much one of those earring cost for my moms birthday", he answered. I nodded.

A few minutes later we walked out of the store again and I pulled out my phone out of my pocked. "Um, it's getting late. We should go home again", I said.

"Yea okay, but you know what? Because I bought you that dress, I want you to do me a favor here in the mall", Diggie said. I giggled and asked, "Okay, what?". He smirked a little and said, "I want you to gimmie a kiss, in front of everyone here", he said. I giggled a bit and quickly gave him a small peck on the lips. "I said a kiss, not a peck", he said. "You're such a doofus", I said as I wrapped my arms around his neck and pressed my lips against his soft ones. Once again, it was all sparkly in my mind.

After 30 seconds I pulled away. "Better?", I asked him smiling. "Much", he said and gave me a smile back.

Back home: (bc I'm too lazy)

"We're back!", Diggie and I yelled at the same time. We looked at each other and burst out laughing. "Hey gu... Wow what's so funny?", mom asked. "Oh nothing, just drop it Miss Rooney", Diggie said. "Well whatever, where did you go anyways?", she asked. "We went to the mall", I answered. "Oh what did you buy?", she asked. "Oh not much, I just got a red dress, not a biggie", I said sarcastically. "Wait you mean a red dress?! Does it fit to me? How much did it cost I'd give you the money if you give it to me!", mom said historically.

"Okay mom, mom, mom, mom. First of all, the dress does not fit to you, I'm way smaller than you! Second of all, I can't and don't want to give it to you, because Diggie got it for me", I answered. "Oh wait Diggie got it for you? He's such a gentlemen!", mom said. "I know", I said giving him a huge smile.

"Anyways, I really gotta look for pete, I literally have not a clue where he is", mom said. "Alright see ya", I said waving.

"So. What does my beautiful girlfriend wanna do now?", Diggie asked smiling. I giggled a bit. "How about pizza and a movie?", I suggested. "Sounds good to me, what pizza do you want?". "Um I don't know, you pick", I said. "I'm not gonna pick, It doesn't feel right, you will", Diggie said. "Um well, then lets take a pizza hawaii", I said."Pizza hawaii it is", he said causing me to smile a little because of his cuteness.
