Diggie's POV

The past month was horrible for me. I barely did anything but stay up all night because I couldn't sleep and gotten forced to go to school. In school I just sat there waiting till the day was over so I could go home again and think, because I also didn't do my homework. Since Miss Rooney is vice principal she got that with homework and focusing all sorted out with my teachers. She even tried to take me out of school for a couple weeks because of all this, but that was against the law.

Right when I was in class my phone started ringing. Shoot, I forgot to switch it to silent.

I quickly pulled it out of my pocked before anyone could here it but my teacher seemed to notice it. "Diggie would you pl-," she started but got cut off by me saying "Miss Rooney?" as I stared at the phone.

I ran out of the class room and answered the call. "Hello?" I said afraid. What if she called me to say that Maddie's gone? What if I could never see my beautiful girlfriend ever again?

"Diggie she just woke up, and asked for you. She wants you to come here," she said. I felt like screaming. I can't believe it. "Oh my gosh, I'll be there in 20!" I said and hung up. Luckily the hospital was long not as far away as the beach house we stayed in. I ran to my locker to grab my bag, wallet and keys, and went to my car as fast as possible.

Once I arrived at the hospital I quickly walked into Maddie's room which I lately knew where it was because I've been here so much. I knocked at the door and Miss Rooney opened the it. I got inside and saw Maddie lying there smiling at me. I felt my heart beating faster now that I can see her again.

Then it hit me, the moment where I actually realized what happened to her. She's gotten raped and if I wouldn't have safed her she probably wouldn't be alive anymore. And besides I was so relieved though, because she could have gotten pregnant, but she hasn't, luckily.

I got closer to her and lightly kissed her cheek. "Hey Mads," I said.

"Diggie" she said in a very quiet voice. She started crying and I sat on the bed and lifted her into my lap. "Sshh, honey it's okay. Let it all out" I said trying to calm her down, which eventually worked. She had tight grip on my shirt and bawled into it. By the time she stopped crying it was wet, which was something I couldn't care less about.

A nurse came into the room and checked on Maddie real quick. She said she was free to go since she wasn't mentally hurt and doesn't need any specific help from doctors or nurses. I could see the happiness in Maddie's eyes as she said that, because she hasn't been at home for like one and a half month since we spent a lot more time at the beach house than we were actually going to.

The nurse gave Miss Rooney the papers which she had to sign, meanwhile I helped Maddie getting dressed in some comfy pants and shirt which we brought her pretty much a month ago, because we obviously haven't known that she'd be in comma that long.

We walked out of the building and to the cars. Maddie got into Miss Rooney's with her, and I got into mine and we decided to meet up at their house later. Funny enough Miss Rooney has driven the whole way back, right behind my car so we arrived at the same time, which was great.

Just a little filler bc I have a writers block, which you probably already know. Gonna end this book soon (a few more chapters maybe), but I'm pretty positive about making a sequel. Don't forget to vote and comment. Love & light,
