Don't let go ~ Miggie

Chapter 4

Maddie's POV

We've been walking since 5 minutes now and neither of us has spoken a single word. We were walking down a little hill and we could finally see this court we've been looking for since forever.

"I like to hold your hand", Diggie said. I blushed a little as I said, "I like you to hold my hand." We finally reached the basketball field and nobody else was there. We played a game on one on one for like 10 minutes as we suddenly bumped into each other so we were just inches apart. "Hey", Diggie said/whispered. I whispered back, "Hey".

As soon as I wanted to say something I could feel his soft lips against mine. They tasted so good and I instantly kissed back. I could not really tell what happened around me because all I was focused on was Diggie. It was all sparkly in my mind. I could literally feel those butterflies in my stomach, as he slowly pulled away.

I was kinda sad that this moment only held for a few seconds but I was glad it did. I pictured all of this in my mind since forever and I never knew it would feel that great. Diggie smiled lightly and I smiled back. "Wow", was all I could say in this moment. Diggie chuckled a bit as my eyes were still closed. I slowly opened them and turned bright red of embarrassment.

We kept playing and did not talk about what just happened, because I suppose we both kinda felt awkward. Still I cannot forget that, It has kept repeating in my mind over and over again.

Back at the beach house

We came home 10 minutes ago and Liv was still down at the beach. I really wanted to talk to her about that though, because she always gives some good advice. I really did not know how I was supposed to act in Diggies presence. We haven't talked about the kiss and It was pretty awkward in the car sooner. I decided to go down to Liv and find her, since Diggie was somewhere upstairs, either in his room or doing something with Joey and Parker.

As I walked down the beach I noticed some boys were checking me out and I have to admit some of them were pretty cute, but nobody is cuter than Diggie! I kept walking and decided to ignore those glares at my body until someone hit my butt, I immediately turned around, "If u ever do this again, I'll make sure you can't do this to anyone ever again." I gave him a small fake smile and he ran off without saying a single word.

I finally found Liv flirting with some guy. He has a little darker skin and brown curls. I heard Liv say the name 'Josh' so I suppose that's what he's called. I tapped on Liv's shoulder and she was all her bubbly self again. "Oh, hey Maddie whatcha doing?", she asked. "Um, actually I wanted to talk to you about something, alone", I replied. "Yea sure, hold on a sec. So Josh, you can call me sometimes", she said and gave him a wink. "Maybe I'll do that. I leave two alone now", he said winking as well.

"Okay, so Mads what's up?", Liv asked. I replied with taking a deep breath first "Well, earlier when we were in the town, Diggie and I were looking for a basketball court to play sometimes, and let's say, we may or may not have kissed." "OH MY GOSH, Are you kidding me?! Maddie this is amazing, I don't know how long you did not tell him, you like him!" Liv said with a lot of excitement. "Yea but Liv, what am I supposed to do now? I mean we haven't really spoken a word since all of this happened and now all I've got is 6 more extremely awkward days with him."

"Maddie do you even hear yourself? The only one who's making this awkward is you, why are you always so distant? You guys had a special moment you share, so you have to talk about that", Liv said. I hate it when she's right. "Liv I don't think I'm gonna be able to talk to him about this. I'm a very shy person with boys and you know that", I said. "I know you are Maddie but once you're in the convo it'll be much easier believe me. Also Diggie will also be a part of it so he's gonna take over a lot of the speaking. Cool down, it'll all be fine, trust me", Liv said calmly.

"Yea, I suppose so. Thank you Liv that was a great talk. I'm going to go back again, see ya!", I said and walked off. I hope it wont be that wired. Once I was back at the house I wanted to look for Diggie, but since he's probably doing something with Joey I'm not gonna interrupt them. I don't think I would be able to do this tonight, I'll wait till it's tomorrow. Since it already was 8.30pm and I was so tired, I decided to go to sleep. I wasn't hungry at all so it didn't really matter.
