Don't let go ~ Miggie

Chapter 29

Liv's POV

I just got a call that I should leave school early because Maddie's awake. I was in the hallway that time and screamed, everybody looked at me like I was crazy. I'm currently sitting in the car driving home. I am so super stoked to be with my sister again.

I have been doing really good lately other than the fact that I've gotten abused a month ago. I even got a little closer with Holden. Which means that I have a huge crush on him, but I don't know how he's feeling. We hung out a lot lately which also kept my mind from Maddie. But right now I just want to go and see her again.

Diggie's POV

We we're entering the house and sitting down all the bags as Maddie suddenly started bawling. I took her hand, lead her to the couch and lifted her into my lap. She immediately grabbed my shirt and cried into it until it was really wet.

"Shh, baby why are you crying?" I asked as she sniffed a couple times.

"I- I, why m-me?" She mumbled barely understandable.

"You know, when I was little and tripped over a stone and bruised my knee, my grandpa always told me, god only hurts the people he loves most," I said into her ear.

I tightened my grip on her and and rested my chin on her head. She calmed down surprisingly quickly.

In this moment Liv stormed into the house.

"Maddie!" she yelled.

"Liv?" was the respond she got from Maddie, in a voice above whisper. You could tell she just cried. Her eyes were really puffy and watery like she had just gotten some dust in them which caused tears falling.

Maddie unwrapped herself off my arms and stood up. Liv has already smacked her arms around her body.

Maddie's POV

"Ouch," Maddie moaned. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" Liv gasped.

"No I'm okay."

"How have you been doing? I was so worried about you, I already lost hope. I thought I'm never gonna see you again," Liv said almost crying.

"Look Liv, it's been a really rough time for me, but I'm fine. Don't worry about me, I can get through this, because I have so many people supporting me. And also, I'm here now, I might still be a little sleepy but with a good night sleep i'll feel better."

"I'm just so glad you're back. This was al my fault!" Liv said bawling into my shoulder.

"Are you crazy! Liv this is nobody's but Josh's fault. You can't blame yourself for that, you had no idea Josh's bad news!" I said shocked Liv could ever think of it like that.

"Okay, fine. But either way you need to rest now. I'll bring you something to eat and water, but you only need to go upstairs." Liv said.

I was actually very happy she cares so much but to be honest theres nothing I would rather do than play basketball right now; it keeps my mind of things. I'm aware it may not be the most efficient way to rest, but nothing has never been solved after playing a good game.

Either way I walked towards the stairs and went up in my room. Liv might have been right once.

Diggie's POV

After Liv and Maddie talked and me just awkwardly standing behind them, not exactly knowing what to do, I decided to face miss Rooney.

"When will Maddie go to school again?" I asked. I seriously can't stand chemistry any longer without her sitting next to me. We always write notes and laugh in classes, we might tend to be caught sometimes, but we couldn't care less about that.

"Well I'm glad you asked Diggie. I'm gonna suspend Maddie from school for the next week, since she's physically doing fine. I do want her home for a couple more days though, until she completely healed, or in which case as much as she can. I'm gonna sign you out for the next two days either. I want you near Maddie, I figured it's the best way to make her happy again."

"This is really nice of you. Thank you!" I said. I'm truly happy she suspended me for two days! I actually had detention for tomorrow afternoon because I've kept checking my phone in every class.

"I think it'll be the best if you go check on her. She needs you now more than ever," Miss Rooney said.

After that I walked upstairs and knocked at Liv and Maddies door.

"Come in!" She said loud enough for me to hear it.

I opened the door and smiled at her. She was sitting on her bed and apparently changed into some sweatshirt and pj shorts.
"Hey," I said. "Hey," I got in response.

Bc I was such a bad witch and haven't updates for ages. HAHAHA Amy, see I can be evil too.😈💖
