I woke up and took a deep breath.
"She's awake!" I heard an excited whisper. I opened my eyes to see three nurses and my doctor.
"Hello there Ms. Deblasio." He said smiling.
"By the looks on your faces everything went well?" I yawned.
"Everything went more than well. We did an MRI." A nurse stated. I frowned confused.
"Why did you do that?" I asked.
"Well because we saw something in surgery quite interesting. When we took out your ovaries we had to take out your uterus because it'll just be another useless organ. But when we did the MRI we looked at your brain." He explained still not getting to the point.
"And?" I prompted.
"Most humans only use from 18 to 28 percent of there brain power for things but you your brain is typical." He went on. "Your brain uses 86 percent." I widened my eyes.
"So that means I'm smart?" I asked.
"Your brain is worth more than the top leading scientist. Even more so than dead Einstein. Your brain can figure things out faster than the leading technology." He laughed.
"Is that good or bad?" They were still smiling.
"Depends. Bad for us if you lived in another country and they used your brain against us. Good for us because we could solve so many problems. But of course we won't use your brain unless you do so willingly." I sighed. After a couple more minutes of them telling me what to do after the surgery and other things with my brain they left me to rest.
I was about to go back to sleep when my door opened again. The lights staid off and I heard someone pull a chair up to the side of my bed and sit down. I could feel them staring at me.
"Hey there." God who let her in?
"What are you doing here?" I whispered not wanting to use much effort in talking normal.
"I came because someone found out that you had surgery and didn't tell me." Lana said leaning close. I opened my eyes all the way to see her smiling at me.
"Well what can I say I'm independent." I said sarcastically.
"Well Ms. Independent. I'll always be here. Now do you want to tell me why you had surgery?" I sighed.
"I had a rare cancer in my ovaries. They took them out along with my uterus." She gasped.
"What?!" She said a little to loudly for my liking.
"Ya but I'm good everything's good it's gone." I assured. She grabbed my hand and rubbed her thumb over it.
"How long did you have it?" She looked at me worriedly.
"A couple months like 3 or 4." We sat there in silence for a moment.
"Does it hurt?" She asked indicating my body.
"No I don't feel anything not even numb." She nodded.
"I'll take you to my house when they let you go I don't want you being alone. We don't have to tell your father unless you want to. Him and the boys went back to the states so it's just me you don't have to worry." I nodded in agreement.
"Alright do you want to keep me warm and get in the bed with me?" I asked with a soft giggle.
"Why of course." She giggled back. I scooted as much as I could for her to get in. When she got in I wrapped my arm around her middle. Her back to me. I fell back to sleep.

I woke up in a different bed. I opened my eyes and noticed that I was going through an MRI machine. I stayed still knowing the procedure.
When it turned off I sat up.
"Why the hell was I in there?" I asked harshly.
"During your sleep you stopped breathing but your heart kept beating the same." A voice said over the small speaker.
"Oh." I hopped off the table and walked to the door. Strange enough I should have been feeling pain because I wasn't supposed to be walking yet. But I didn't feel it.
"How do you not feel pain?" A nurse asked when I went through the door.
"It's her brain it can tell her body whether or not it feels something from emotions to physical pain." Another nurse explained clicking on my brain pictures.
"Emilee we have just received awareness that you now use 97 percent of your brain." The doctor was clicking at his own screen.
"Ok well I'm tired I'm going back to bed." Before they could object I walked out pulling my gown tighter around me so no one could see anything.
I stepped into my room to see Lana pacing.
"Emilee!" She ran over to me and made sure I was ok.
"Hey!" I said sarcastically. She smiled and we back to my bed.
"So what happened? You stopped breathing but your heart kept going like you were." She asked when we got comfy.
"The doctors are still looking at the results." I half lied not wanting to tell her.
She nodded and we were silent.
I'm not going to tell her about my brain because I don't need more sympathy. I hate it when people are sympathetic to me.
Now that I think about it I don't want anyone to know except those that do.
I don't to be looked at differently just because my brain is worth more than billionaires have in the entire account.
"Lana?" She hummed. "Will you not tell anyone about this?" I asked.
"Sure." I bit my lip and went back to sleep with Lana behind me.
