I took a deep breath and walked back into Emilees hospital room.
"Hey. I'm here to give ya clothes." I said walking to her bed. She looked at me with a small smile of joy.
"Did Jake go home?" She asked sitting up.
"He is off running errands. He wouldn't tell me what but he couldn't stop smiling so i don't know." I said helping her set her legs over the side of the bed. I helped her get in a pair of leggings then handed her her bra and turned around.
"Oh really? You can turn around." I turned and handed her a big shirt. When it was on I gave her my Brooklyn hoodie. "Are these your clothes?" She asked giggling while pulling it over her head.
"Yes except for your underwear and bra those are yours I just washed them." I squated in front of her dark blue cast that went from just below her toes all the way past her knee. I grabbed a sock and put it on her left foot and pulled the shoe on her foot and tied the laces.
"I feel like a little kid." She mumbled. I looked up at her confused.
"Why?" I stood up and grabbed the brush from the little stand and brushed out her hair putting it in a bun.
"Because I can't do anything myself." I sighed and got off the bed.
"It's ok to have people do things for you especially sense you got thrown from a horse and broke your leg." I placed the few things that were in the room into the backpack I brought.
"I've never had anything done for me like this." She confessed.
"What about when you broke your rib?" I asked confused.
"Still had to do things for myself." Her face was blank.
"Hey it's ok." I said cupping her cheeks and making her look at me. Her eyes were grey with small flecks of blue.
"I don't know what's going on anymore. I really want to marry Jake but I'm afraid that if I do he'll end up leaving me because I can't give him kids." She whispered. I kissed her forehead.
"Don't worry. If he loves you he won't leave. I never gave your dad any kids and look how long we've been together." I pointed out.
"Ya and you've only been married a year or so. Plus he has kids all ready." She retaliated.
"True but that hasn't stopped him from loving me." I grabbed the wheel chair from the door and helped her into it. I handed her the crutches and the bad and wheeled her to the front desk.
"But what if-" I cut her off.
"None of this. He won't leave you. If and I mean if he does he won't be able to have kids made from him." She giggled. I signed her out and allowed a male nurse to help us to my car.
When she was in the front seat I placed the crutches in the back seat with the bag.
I walked to my side and got in.
"Can we get McDonald's?" She asked when we pulled out of the parking lot.
"Yes we can." I grabbed her hand with my right and drove with my left.
"Has there been anything of neon the Internet or news?" She asked. I turned my blinker on.
"Well there have been a few things on you breaking your leg and your fans have been worried sick about you." I turned into the parking lot and drove to the drive thru.
"We can go in." She said. I looked at her with a brow raised.
"You sure?" She nodded and I shrugged pulling out and into a spot. When we parked I grabbed my phone and hers and handed it to her. She placed it in the hoodie pocket and opened her door. I got out and fetched the crutches and went to her side and gave them to her.
When we got to the door I opened the door and helped her in. When we got the the register the young lady starred at us for a moment.
"Hi welcome to McDonald's what can I get for you?" She asked still staring.
"Well can u get a blueberry mcgriddle?" Emilee asked. She nodded and typed it in.
"And I want the breakfast burrito combo." I smiled.
"What to drink?" She asked.
"Orange juice." She nodded and went to the small fridge behind her.
"Here you go anything else?" I shook my head and handed her the money as getting our number in return.
I helped Emilee over to a booth and sat in front of her.
"How do you feel do you need pain meds?" I asked. She shook her head.
"No I'm good. I could use my own bed though." She joked. I smiled.
"So what do you want to do?" She shrugged.
"I don't know. I just hope I can get out of this damn cast before shooting." Out number was called and I went to pick it up.
"Well how about you worry about getting better? I'm sure the boys won't mind waiting your scenes for awhile." I assured.
She shrugged and went silent. I reached out and took her hand.
"Hey. It's ok. If it makes you feel any better you can stay with me or I can come stay at your house." I smiled.
"I don't know why I let it happen." She mumbled.
"Let what happen?" I asked confused.
"I knew that I was going to get bucked off and I didn't stop it. I don't exactly know how I knew that snake was there I didn't even see it till I fell." I furrowed my brow.
"What do you mean?" She took a deep breath and finally looked at me.
"I don't know. Never mind." She looked down at her lap.
"No no tell me. You knew that snake was there and you stayed on the path." I summed up.
"Yes because at that moment it reminded me that I've been down that path before. With Tyler. I knew that I would get hurt yet I still chose to go there instead of finding you. When he broke my rib that was from when he forced me into my bed. He almost got what he wanted but my mom had pulled up and he stopped." She said emotionless.
"God if I ever meet this man I'm going to beat the hell out of him." I growled.
"It doesn't matter anymore. If he finds me again and I know he will this time he won't stop. Some things happen for a reason and sometimes those things will either make us or break us and so far it's done both to me but I know this time it will break me and I don't think anyone will be able to stop him. Even if they tried."
