I opened my eyes slowly and sat up. Funny how things can change in a matter of hours. Yesterday morning I woke up next to my beautiful girlfriend, and today, I woke up not having slept a wink because I was worrying about her.
I'd left so many messages on her phone there was nothing left to say.

The girl was hard work, I'll admit.
But I loved her so much and I knew I'd do anything for her.
I had a splitting headache and felt really tired, but either way, I had to get my ass out of bed.

I jogged downstairs and into the lounge.
Mum, as I suspected, was still asleep. Antony had woken up and was getting ready for work.

"Morning Liam."
"Morning."
"Going out?"
"Yeah. Uni."
"Of course. Will you be back at the weekend, or are you staying out?"
"Uh.. dunno. I'll call."
"Alright. See you then."
"Bye."

I grabbed my bag and left.

I called Noah on the train. Nothing.

Here's to a long day at uni.

⚓NOAH OQUAYE⚓

I opened my eyes slowly and sat up.
Funny how things can change in a matter of hours. Yesterday morning I woke up next to my adoring boyfriend, and today, I woke up on a bench beside an old traintrack.

I couldn't remember a thing. I felt so empty and lightheaded. I thought I was dead.

I only now realised that an ambulance was parked nearby and two paramedics were stood at the end of the bench, discussing something.

"She's up." One of them said.

They came over to me and crouched on the ground.

"My name's Kole. I'm a paramedic from Leighton. You've been unconscious for a while and we'd like to take you into hospital to check you over, is that okay?"
I frowned and nodded.
He smiled. "What's your name sweetheart?"
"Um," I sat up properly. "It's Noah."
"Noah? Okay Noah, were going to lift you up onto a stretcher now. If you'd just hold onto me, that'd be great."
I wrapped my arms around the man and he carried me onto the stretcher. I was wheeled away into the van.

Sirens. I hated sirens almost as much as double kisses.

🚑🚑🚑

A woman with bright eyes and a caring smile walked into the room.

I was sat on a hospital bed, dressed in the usual straight white gown which I loathed so much, my hair pulled back and a band on my wrist.
It said Noah and nothing else.
When I looked at it, I was secretly praying it'd have more on it than just my first name, like my address or my age, because I honestly couldn't remember anything myself.

"Hello Noah."
"Hi." I scanned her cautiously. She seemed like a nice enough person, so I let my guard down.
"You hungry?"
"Um.. I guess."
"Great! I have a full English breakfast coming up right now."
"Oh, thanks."
"Not a problem. Now I need to speak to you."
I looked at her.
"You were found at a park bench in Croydon, unconscious. About ten minutes after our paramedics arrived, you woke up. Thankfully. However we've ran some tests on you and it seemed you're heavily drugged."
"Yeah I feel totally hung over too."
"Do you remember taking anything before? You're not in any trouble, I just need to know."
I hesitated.
"As long as you don't want anyone else to know, the information will stay between us and our team only. I promise you, I'll tell no one."
