Zeffa's POV

After our endless argument, we walked around. I was just following her from behind, watching her back as she slowly walk.

I don't know if she really was walking slowly but she appeared to me that way. I just want to follow her, I don't care where she will lead me.. I'll follow her no matter where she go.

I was standing in front of her shadow. Standing behind her makes me feel I've got nothing to worry about. As long as it is her I am with.

After about 15 minutes of walking, I figured.. she doesn't really have any plan on talking to me. So, I need to break the silence.

"Were walking for 15 minutes already, don't you want to say something?"

She stopped then faced me.

"Doesn't the cold breeze make you feel good?"

"Where are you going?" I asked, sure the breeze really feels good, but it won't cause us any good if we will just keep on walking and freeze ourselves to death. "Stop for a while.. aren't you cold? You'll get sick if you keep on doing this. It'll hurt."

She shook her head.

"You're not? Look at your face, you look pale and you say you're not?"

"When you feel so cold you wouldn't feel any pain." She said in a soft voice.

"What do you mean?"

"When you feel the coldness in your body, you wouldn't feel the pain. When you're out on the snow, your body will feel the coldness more. So, the body forgets the greater pain that it's enduring."

Her words..

"If you keep on doing this, you will hurt yourself."

She shook her head again.

"If I don't do this, the pain would grow more."

I stared at her blankly as I try to figure out the unspoken words she's hiding behind those sad eyes. Then I remembered the first time I met her, few hours ago.. when she was crying. What a fool I am, how did I miss that?

"Fine then.." I came closer. "If you keep on doing this, you need to have something to cover you up. Hmmm... where did all the clothing stores go? It was just here a while ago."

"What?"

I looked at her. "Too bad we can't get you a jacket. Why did you go out without one in the first place?"

"Huh?

Andie's POV

"Fine then. If you keep on doing this, you need to have something to cover you up. Hmmm... where did all the clothing stores go? It was just here a while ago."

"What?"

Pagkasabi niya nun saka ko palang napansin na medyo nakalayo na pala kami. I was so stuck on thinkin' about my Mom, I wasn't aware what was happening around me. Hindi ko rin napansin na hindi pala ako naka-jacket. After I came back to my senses tsaka ko palang napansin na wala rin pala akong suot na scarf.

"Too bad we can't get you a jacket. Why did you go out without one in the first place?"

"Huh?"

"If you really want to freeze, make sure you have a doctor next to you next time." He said to me.

I nodded. "Thank you."

"What?"

"Thank you."

"Jesus, I can't believe this. A while ago you looked like a frozen pumpkin and now you're thanking me? What have gotten into you?"

"Nothing."

"Tell me."

"What?"

"What is it? Why are you acting so weird all of the sudden, and what is the reason why you went out crying in the rest room? I don't know why you're behaving like this but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with what you did in the rest room."

"Whatever it is, it's my own problem. It has nothing to do with you. And why should I tell you? Do I know you? I only share my problems with people I know. I don't know you and I do not trust you either so don't bother asking me because I wouldn't tell you no matter how much you beg for it."

I wasn't angry. I just don't want to open the issue. I don't want to cry and feel bad anymore. Maybe he'll laugh at me if I tell him I cried because I won't be meeting my Mom this Christmas. Maybe he'll think of it as a childish thing so it is better to leave things that way, sealed. My voice was soft but since we were the only person there, it sounded like I screamed at him. We were on the middle of the road; I don't even know how we got there. And yes it's really so cold! ◐...◑

"Is that all your excuse? You do not trust me?"

"Yes. Who knows if you are a bad person."

"I can't believe you are this unreasonable. Do you even know how we got here? We are in a place were very few people go by.. a place where taxi's rarely pass by at this hour. And here you are complaining you do not trust me? What more proof do you need to trust me? Look around.. where do you think are we? If I am a bad person, do you think it is that hard for me to do something evil to you? You were out of your league earlier, and you aren't feeling any better either.. if I am a bad guy you think you're still standing proudly next to me? If I had bad intensions to you, I could've easily just knocked you out while you were looking away and throw you in the nearest inn, but I didn't.. You know why? Because I am not that kind of man and I know you are not that kind of woman."
