Kate felt even more queasy than before. She spun around and saw him walking towards her. She stood up as did Castle walking slightly in front of her to protect her.

"Can we talk for a minute?" He asked her, pushing Castle to the side.

"What is this about, Josh. I'm not in the mood for games." Kate said.

"Please, it's important."

"Tell me what it's about right now or I'm kicking you out."

"It's about a dinner. Before! You say no, it's not a date."

"What?"

"My parents still think we're together. I kind of told then were engaged."

"Josh, why the hell would you do that! I'm not doing that!"

"Please, and then I'll never ask you for anything else again. And I'm sorry for punching your boyfriend."

"Let me talk to Castle about it first."

"Fine. But hurry the dinner is tonight."

"Tonight!"

"Yes."

Kate pulled Castle away. She then walked them into the break room. She sighed and paced around the room. She then stopped and looked Castle in the eyes.

"What do you want me to do?" She asked. He brought her into a hug. He kissed the top of her head.

"I think that you should do this, because then he'll be out of our lives forever."

"And what if he's not?"

"Then I'll kick his ass back to Africa." This made Kate laugh and she gave him a quick kiss before going back out to tell Josh the ok news. He was overjoyed. The thought of his parents being proud of him was very important to him. He gave her a handshake and said to meet them at Le Cirque at 6:30.

Castle and Beckett finished out the day and then drove home reaching the loft at 4:59. Kate quickly got ready. She wanted to look nice, but she wasn't going to dress like she did for Castle. She wore an elegant red dress that ended just above her knees, that had sleeves that ended just above her elbows. She had her hair am down and wavy at her shoulders. She wore black heels.

When he met Castle in the living room he looked at her like she was perfect. Because in his eyes she was. She was his only focus and was the beginning of beauty. She sat down on his lap and kissed him gently.

"Man, I wish I was going with you." Castle mumbled.

"Yeah but you can help me take it off when I get back." She giggled nipping his ear.

"And the student becomes the master. These one thing I need to say though."

"What?"

"If he tries anything 'break' up with him."

"Gladly." She then glanced at her watch. It was 6:10.

"Do you have to go? Let me go with you!" Castle said his face lighting up.

"You can't."

"But I could say I'm your brother or cousin."

"Yeah and then be touching me like a fiancé would."

" your right I love you be safe."

"Bye." She said kiss I him one more time and getting up and heading to the restaurant. When she got there Josh's parents gave her a hug and kissed her cheek and they admired her ring. The ring Castle had given her. They're engagement ring. They sat down and ordered dinner. Josh had his hand on hers almost the entire time. It kind of made her sick inside.

But halfway through the dinner thanks to a few glasses of wine she perked up and decided to act like his fiancé. It was only a one time thing. As the dinner was winding down. Josh walked Kate out to her car.

"Thank you for doing this, but can I ask for one more favor?" Josh said, opening the door for her.

"What?" Josh didn't even ask he just attached his lips to Kate's. She didn't pull back immediately but kissed him back as well. Some part of her missed this. But she knew she was done with him. Part of her enjoyed it. It was in a way her saying goodbye, forever.

Josh put his hand in her lower back and brought her against him and that's when she knew she had to stop it. But she didn't. She pulled him into the car with her and they went into the back. They both took of eachother's jackets. He began to unzip her dress and she realized again that it was wrong. She then pushed him away without saying anything. He realized she knew it was a mistake and just left without a word.

She slowly pulled away and got into her car. At the first stop light she punched her fists on the dashboard.

How could she do this to Castle? It was considered cheating? She actually enjoyed the kiss. But it was just a kiss, right? Did she want it to go further? She figured the best thing to do was to try and ignore it.

She sort of sped home eager to see the man she was going to marry. She felt sick. The same sick she did earlier and an added one for guilt. When she got back to the loft she saw Castle playing a video game. She just walked in front of him, some what irritating Castle and just straddled him, kissing him fiercely. Castle friend over the mic heard the commotion and Castle hung up by caring the he just died. He kissed her back and in zipped her dress. He then realized his camera was on so he threw a blanket over it. He then pulled off her dress and looked her in the eyes. He slowed down the kiss and asked,

"How did it go? Did he try anything?"

He didn't get a response just and saw Kate get up off of him in her bra and underwear then grab the blanket of the camera and wrap it around herself. She then turned off his tv and saw the free light turn red. She looked up over to Rick with tears in her eyes. Rick's face grew serious.

"What did he do?"

"Nothing," Kate cried, "it's something I did."

"What did you do?"

Rick stood up and Kate went to him for a hug, but he backed away, "what did you do, Kate?" He repeated.

Kate struggled to breathe and just paced around the room. She clung to the blanket as a life line and finally stopped and stared Castle in the eyes.

"I kissed him."

WHAT WILL HAPPEN??? WAIT AND SEE!!!
