2. Let It Sink In

"Good morning babe.. How you feeling?" Jai asked me as soon as I opened my eyes slightly.

"Ugh... I have a terrible headache. I think all of that crying last night dehydrated me." I slightly smiled. "But, good morning to you as well." He  kissed me softly and walked out the door.

I followed him soon after. "Hey Drea. How you holdin up?" Luke greeted me with a hug.

"Thank you Luke. I'm okay. A little dehydrated is all." I plopped down on the couch, I guess Jai was in the kitchen.

Luke came to sit right next to me; "So.. i don't know if this is too early, but.. What are you guys going to do?" I chuckled, because I was asking myself the same question.

"Honestly, I have no idea.. I need to get a job, because I want to move out of here before the baby is born. As much as I love Gina, we can't live with here forever, ya know?" I said, while running my fingers through my hair.

"True.... but I don't think you should be forced to work while being pregnant." He looked very concerned.

"I'm not being forced to do anything... Jai and I haven't even really talked about anything though. But, I can't rely on Jai all the time. I have to do some things on my own." It was a little quiet after that for a second, until Jai came in the room.

"You can rely on me all the time, I need to provide for you two. You will always have me, you will never need 'to do stuff on your own'" He used air quotes when he said that. I giggled, "I know Jai, I'm just saying." I flipped through channels, I looked around to see Luke and Jai weren't in here anymore. I was hungry so I decided to go to the kitchen and get me some breakfast.

I was about to turn the corner, but I heard Jai and what sounded like Beau arguing. it was faint, but this is what I heard.

"For fucks sake's Jai, do you really think you two would be able to raise a child on your own? You are only 17." Beau quietly shouted.

"You know, I thought you guys would be more supportive. I may be extremely nervous, but I think we can get through it." Jai calmly said.

Beau chuckled. "Well, you can keep tellin yourself that then, mate." and walked out of the kitchen, to find me standing there... He stopped for a second, he was going to say something, but I just broke eye contact and went into the kitchen.

I couldn't believe him! Beau, out of ALL people wasn't supportive of us? Me and Beau are very close, I figured he would be the one to actually believe in us.

When I walked into the kitchen, I saw Jai, standing there, with his elbows on the counter and his face buried in his hands.

I didn't know if I should say anything.. I decided to speak up though..

"Babe..." I guess he didn't know I was in there, because he jumped slightly, "Is everything okay?" He walked over to me, put his hands on my shoulders, looked me in the eye and said "Everything is fine.. I just don't think Beau really gets whats going on yet."

"Well, there isn't much to not get, how could someone so close to me not want to be supportive of us though?" I was slightly frustrated and I think Jai saw that.

"Don't even worry about it, we'll be fine." he kissed my forehead. "Do you want some breakfast?"

"Yeah, what do you have?" I answered immediately, because I was extremely hungry from not eating last night. "Waffles, eggs, bacon, bagels, cereal, oatmeal..... everything."

I sat there for a second thinking, "Hmmm, waffles and bacon sound good to you?"

"Yeah that's fine..." Jai said while getting the stuff out. I walked over there to start cooking but he stopped me; "What are you doing?" I was confused, "Uhm, making breakfast for us?" It kinda came out as a question.
