Chapter 31

Simon's POV
I've been awake for the past 2 hours, I couldn't sleep and my nerves really began to kick in. It's currently 10am and my interview starts at 2pm. I was making myself some breakfast when I saw Olivia enter the kitchen.

"What are you still doing here? You should be at school" I said to her. "I didn't want to go, I want to be here with you" she replied as she walked over to me. "That's very nice of you but it's not worth losing a day of revising over" I replied. "It's ok, I'll still revise here don't worry. But I just want to stay here for you" she said.

"Well I wish you could come with me, but unfortunately you can't" I replied. "I know but I'll be here when you get back" she said. "Thank you" I said as I walked over and kissed her on the forehead. "No problem baby" she replied as she hugged me back.

Time skip to the interview*
I walked into the police station and waited to be called into the room. I sat there thinking to myself about what is about to happen to me.
"Mr Minter we're ready for you now" an officer said as he guided me to the interview room.

I sat down in the chair opposite two officers, they told me how the interview will be run and that they will need to record it again.
"Interview started at 2pm* the officer said as he pressed the record button.
"Now Simon this is your second interview, we have gone through your last interview and have spoken to a number of other officers" he said.
"We have come to a conclusion for what will happen next" he continued.

"Ok" I replied, I didn't know what else to say. "We have decided to take this case further, as it's a serious case. So we are taking your case to court" he said.
I put my head in my hands, I couldn't speak. This was the worst thing to happen, I can't believe this is happening to me.
"Simon, are you ok?" One of the officers asked me.
"I'm in shock, I didn't think this would happen to me" I replied.

"This is a serious situation Simon, it's up to the judge to decide. They will ask you questions about the case and you will have to truthfully answer each question" he said to me. "When do I have to go?" I asked.
"We will contact you with the court date" the officer said.
"Ok" I replied, once again I had nothing else to say, I was still in shock.

*After the interview*
I was driving home from the police station, tears were running down my face. I can't face the guys right now, I don't want to tell them. I soon stopped the car and got out. I saw a nearby lake and decided to take a walk. I soon sat down on a nearby bench and looked at the view in front of me.

I was thinking about the first I ever saw Olivia, I think she was the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on. She is worth everything and I would never change a single thing. Even though I'm going to court and probably ending up in prison, it was all worth it because I got to spend all this time with the girl I love. She truly is amazing and I will do anything for her.

I'm just scared to tell her about it, she's gonna be so upset and I can't take seeing her sad. I'm gonna have to face them sooner or later but for now, I just need some time to myself. These may be my last days of freedom...
