Chapter 66

Simon's POV

I'm finally married! I have a wife and I couldn't be happier. We just finished signing the register, to prove our marriage is legal. It's pretty boring but it's gotta be done.

Olivia and I were currently with the photographer, taking pictures around the venus and outside. He had us take pictures by some trees, by the wedding car, on a bridge over a stream. It was really sweet and we had some great photos.

We were now waiting to head inside the main room, where food will be served. The guests were already being seated at their tables, while we waited outside the room. I was so excited to see the layout of the room, as Olivia said she helped design the layout of the tables. Once everyone was seated, it was time for us to enter.

Everyone began to cheer when we walked in and sat down at the head table. We were facing everyone, as we were sat on a long table. While the guests all sat around, round tables. The layout of the tables looked beautiful, there was a dance floor on the other side of the room and the lighting looked amazing. (Media)

*1 hour later*
We had just finished our food, which was delicious. We were given a three course meal, which was lovely and everyone was talking amongst themselves.

Just then Josh stood up and clinked his glass with a fork, to get everyone's attention.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I hope you all enjoyed your food. I would just like to say that it is time for the speeches" he told everyone. My heart began to pound, this was the one thing I was dreading. Not because I don't want to do it, but because i was very nervous to say my speech in front of everyone.

"Olivia's mother will begin with her speech" Josh added. We all then looked over as Olivia's mum stood up from her seat.
"Hello everyone, in case you didn't know, I'm Olivia's mother. Now I would just to start this off by saying how proud I am of my daughter. She's a beautiful, talented and amazing woman, I'm so proud to call her my daughter. She has done so well in her life and I know your father is so proud of you too" she said, I looked over at Olivia and saw a tear forming in her eyes.

"Also, Simon. Welcome to our family, I'm very happy to call you my son in law and I know you're going to make Olivia so happy. When I first met you, I thought you were a lovely, charming young man, who was perfect for my daughter. I know we've had our differences in the past but they were soon overcome. Simon, thank you for being the man you are and for making me feel so proud of you both. Also, thank you for giving me a beautiful grandson" she added, causing us all to laugh.

Josh was up next, as he stood up. "Hello everyone, if you don't know me, my name is Josh. I'm Simon's best man and he is one of my best friends. I first met Simon during school, as he was my maths teacher. I thought you was always cool and funny and to this day, I stand by those words. I'm so happy we became good friends, as I feel like I gained a brother for life. Olivia, I was the first person you met on your first day. I'm so happy i met you, otherwise I wouldn't be standing here today. You've been one of my closest friends since that day and I'm so happy to have you in my life. I know I can trust you with anything and I'll never forget all the good times we've shared together. And here's to many more to come" Josh said as he raised his glass to us.

We all clapped and then I realised it was my turn. I stood up and looked around at everyone, who was looking at me. I then looked down at Olivia, who was smiling up at me.
"Hello, first of all of I just want to say, thank you all for coming. This really means a lot to us and we're so thankful to everyone single one of you. Now, where do I begin? Olivia, the moment I saw you, I knew there was something about you which I loved. Your smile always brightened up the room when you walked into my classroom and your little comments during class always made me laugh. The day we got together, was the day when I realised that you were definitely the girl for me. Having you by my side, instantly made me a happier man and you never left my thoughts. We've had quite a few bumps in the road but we always overcame them, because we stood together.

We faced our problems and fought through to the end. You were always there for me, even at my lowest point and I can't thank you enough for that. When I found out you were pregnant, I was the happiest man alive. I felt so lucky that I was going to be dad and I was determined to be the best father I can be. Having a family with you, was one of the things I wanted in my life. The second was marrying you, which has now happened today. So I'd say my life is pretty much complete right now. Olivia White, you truly are amazing and words cannot express my love for you. I love you with all my heart" I said as I kissed Olivia, she had quite a few tears running down her face but she was happy.

Everyone in the room clapped as I sat down, there were quite a few people crying too. "That was beautiful, thank you" Olivia said as she kissed me. "I meant every word, I love you" I said as I pulled her close. "I love you too" she replied, smiling up at me.

I just love writing this stuff, I'm just sitting here probably looking like an idiot just smiling to myself.
