Chapter 38

Simon's POV
Today was the day, today could be the day everything changes.
I was looking at myself in the mirror as I did up my tie. You have to dress smartly for court, which has always confused me.

I then heard the door open and saw Olivia walk in, she was also dressed smartly but she also looked just as beautiful as ever.
"Hey" she said to me as she walked over to me. "Hey you" I replied with a smile, as I continued to do up my tie but was struggling a bit.
"Here let me help you" Olivia said as she walked over and helped me do up my tie.

"You know, when I pictured you wearing a suit, this was not what I imagined we would be doing" she said, I could see her face looking said as she said this.
"Hey, you're still gonna still see me wearing a suit for our wedding. This is just something we have to do before that" I said, reassuring her to try and cheer her up.

"What do we do if they think you're guilty?" She then asked me. My heart began to race as she said this. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there" I replied with a small smile.

"Guys! Are you ready? The taxi is here" I heard Josh shout from downstairs. "You ready?" Olivia asked me picking up her bag. "Yes, let's go" I said as we both walked out of the room, down the stairs and out to the taxi.
Me, Olivia and the rest of the guys were in the taxi, I'm so happy they're all coming along to help support me. They truly are amazing and I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have them by my side.

*Time skip to arrival at the court*
We all walked into the building and went over to a desk. "Hello my name is Simon Minter, I'm here for my trial" I explained to the woman sitting behind the desk. "Ah yes, you're right on time. Can you come with me please" she said as she got up from behind the desk and walked over to me.

I turned around to face the others and looked into Olivia's eyes. "Well this is it" I said placing my hand on her cheek. "Good luck, you're gonna be fine. Just remember we're all here for you and I love you so much" she said as a tear escaped her eyes.
"Aww baby please don't be upset, everything is going to be fine, I love you so much" I said as I kissed her on the lips. "Bye guys" I said to the sidemen. They all said their goodbyes and hugged me.

"Mr Minter, we have to go now" the lady said as she grew impatient with me. "Goodbye guys; I love you all" I said as I waved at them once more and followed the woman into a room.

Olivia's POV
I watched as my fiancé was lead into a room, he looked back at me before he walked in and the door was closed behind him.
Tears then began to run down my face, Josh then pulled me into a hug and the rest of the guys did the same.
"He's going to be fine, we're going to be with him all the way" he said as he continued to hug me.

"We have to go in now" Vikk said as he saw a number of people enter the court room. We followed behind and took our seats in the court room. I was looking around to see all the people who were here for the trial, I then noticed the jewellery sitting on the side of the room. They were the people who will determine if Simon is innocent or guilty, I am praying they believe he's innocent.

"All rise" a voice suddenly said. We all stood up as the judge entered the room and took his seat. We then all sat down again as we listened to what the judge had to say. He read through the case and was talking to a few other people in the room.
"Please bring him in" I heard the judge say and my eyes quickly shot over to the door. Simon then walked in with an officer walking him to the podium, where he will have to answer questions.

Once Simon was stood in the box, his eyes met mine and gave him a warm smile, which he then returned.

"Please state your name" the judge said to Simon. "Simon Minter" he replied, his voice sounding very nervous.
"And do you swear to the oath for when giving evidence?" He then asked him.
"I do solemnly, sincerely and truly declare and affirm that the evidence I shall give shall be the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth" Simon said looking straight at the judge.
