Chasing Mermaids

Just a bit more,

And I would be there,

In the ocean paradise I had dream

Since my face for the first time gleamed.

Just a little more,

And I would be here,

In the marine heaven I had yearn

Among my experiences I earned.

Just hang in there,

And I would be happy forevermore,

In the aquatic bliss I could not contain

Because of my earthly stains.

Just a step left here,

And I would be joyful forevermore,

In the sea idyll I could not accommodate

Because I was a sinner since my birth date.

Just one more hideous sight right there,

And I would have my freedom forevermore,

In the oceanic ecstasy my heart could not control

Like a sailor that cannot control his own soul.

Just one more ugly truth here,

And I would have my fantasy a reality forevermore,

In the seawater Shangri-La my mind could yell

As my joy rapidly swells.

Just one more thing there,

And I would have achieved nirvana forevermore,

In the saltwater Valhalla my body could explode

From the happiness that cannot be decoded.

Just one more fight here,

And I would have made my reverie a living one forevermore,

In the pelagic Elysium my spirit could break down

From too much delight when I'm reaching the mermaids' town.

A/N: Okay, this poem isn't really dedicated to anyone, but I wrote this poem for a contest. The topic of the contest in my own words is 'Chasing Paradise.' Can you guess who's the character is this? If you like this poem, comment, vote, and share. Over and out.
