Together, We Win

We all want our wishes about gold to be granted,

Yet our worries prevent them from being fulfilled.

We all want our dreams about glory to come true,

Yet our fears inhibit us from what matters most.

We all want to feel the pleasure victories can offer,

But we often succumb to the pain losses can give.

We all want to experience the joy of success can award,

But we often give up to the torments defeats can accord.

-

There was a saying that

Two is better than one,

Double is better than single,

And a team is better than a person.

-

Wars, battles, and rivalries

May keep us apart from each other,

But through love, peace, and unity,

We all come to final terms.

-

For if we support each other,

We will win together.

A/N: Can't wait for this year's Olympics. Are you excited for the Olympics too? As you know, depending where you live, the opening ceremony is going to be aired worldwide in about 14 hours later. Well, I wrote and dedicated this poem solely for the Olympics because I thought this theme can be good for the Olympics.
