The Cold Reality

I always dream of a blissful island

As I walk in the snow.

I always think of a tropical paradise

As things get cold right now.

I always wish that I am there

And basking under the sun kissed sands.

I always want to be there

And splashing ocean water to cool myself down.

I always envy the bikini look

That is always the trend every summer.

I always desire the presence of the smoothies

That sits right beside where I slumber.

But the truth is tough,

Like the blizzard that I must face.

The reality is rough,

Like the snowstorm that happens in this place.

A/N: I was critiquing one of the poems I supposed to do, and one of them was "A Crystal Rain" from Emptiness: A Collection of Poems by Uniquely_Insane. That poem really inspired me to write this one. If you haven't read this or any of her poems, I suggest you to read hers. After all, do you like this poem? If you like, comment, vote, and share. Over and out.
