What happened if one day
All flags are burnt in flames,
All countries ceased to exist,
All nations never return again,
All anthems abandoned for good,
And all hopes end like fireworks?
While they are still here in their glories,
Does your soul know the sense of sovereignty?
Does your heart feel the feeling of freedom?
Is your mind enlightened of the endless enslavement?
Is your psyche aware of the prevailing problem
That haunts everyone for centuries?
A land can be free from bondage
While you are still in chains.
A shore can be released from slavery
While you are still in shackles.
You'll never be free from the pangs of pain,
Unless you believe in the One who died for us.

A/N: Actually, it has been about a week since 4th of July. I was also inspired by the Bible and a poem called "Bomb" from In My Mind's Eye by -RoseByAnotherName- to write this poem about true independence. So if you like this poem, comment, vote, and share. Over and out.
