Sixteen years ago,

There was a woman

Who just gave birth to a girl.

That baby was me.

She cried out her first joy,

And also her first pain.

Twelve years ago,

There was a girl

Who just learned how to talk.

That toddler was me.

She didn't have much friends,

But had ambition to do what she desired.

Eight years ago,

There was a girl

Who just keep on bullying.

That child was me.

She thought that she was superior,

But in reality she was not.

Four years ago,

There was a girl

Who just knew what poetry is.

That preteen was me.

While others were talking and hanging out,

She quietly wrote words on pieces of papers.

And right now,

There is a girl

Who just wrote you her life story.

That teenage was me.

She is about to mature in life,

Like a butterfly ready to fly in the sky.

Before she turns sixteen,

I will say for the very last time.

I am that girl,

And that girl is me.
