Missing You

It had been long

Since I last see you.

I'd feel so wrong

About the things I did to you.

It seemed like years ago

That we saw each other in a park.

It was like ages ago

That our eyes first met.

"Love is in the air,"

As someone had said.

We were destined to be a pair,

Just like we said.

But time passed

And our love faded

Like a star that shortly flashed

And soon jaded.

Lately, I have not seen you,

Or heard about you,

But I am left with a note from you,

And it was written by you.

The note sings the words out to my heart:

"It is all fine, my girl.

It is just some issues with my heart.

I hope you are alright, girl."

I was never sure

Whether you will return to me again,

But one thing for sure,

I will be missing you forever.
