Iceberg

Sailing in a suave way,

And all the way from Liverpool Bay,

I'm standing on its bow

Which every passenger knows.

Everyone is partying

Not knowing what I'm seeing.

-

I'm watching the midnight sky,

And the moon standing still on the sky.

I'm looking at the stars,

And I realize that there are scars

That are fated

Even before they can be alleviated.

-

My eyes are wandering to something.

I have no further knowledge about this thing

Other than it is white and frozen.

All the sudden,

The ship is slipping against this and go,

Slowly eroding its ego.

-

Telling everyone of what I saw,

But they are not believing what I just saw

Until the officers say so.

We are told to go

To flee to safety and live our ages,

While some refuse and drown with the wreckage.

-

I'm watching people desperate for escape,

But they can't run away from this silently fearful seascape.

There's no more hope of survival for those at the hull

Because the lifeboats are already full.

Tears escape from my eyes

As I realize about my husband's sudden demise.

-

For hours,

I'm seeing the tubes and towers

Crashing down one by one,

As though as they have been shot by a gun.

Then the bow and the stern to the abyss

Where they live in grim bliss.

A/N: Can you guess the ship that I'm writing about? Well, back to topic. I wrote this poem based on this occurrence and a poem titled "Shipwrecked" from Only Stars Know by thatbarista. I know many of poems, and they are great. I hope you enjoy hers to.
