Consider the Lilies

Consider the lilies,

They neither spin nor toil,

Neither complain nor grudge,

Neither hating the soil

Nor they angrily judge.

They don't because

They have nothing to lose.

Consider ourselves,

We fret and worry about ourselves,

Whine and blame others,

Hating ourselves,

And we willfully condemn others.

We do because

We have something to lose.

A/N: I've been reading some of williamriverdale's works and one of them inspired me to write this poem. The title came from the Biblical verse of Matthew 6:28. One last thing, I hope you enjoy this poem.
