Lovers are fickle
Like the modifying moon at midnight.
They show me their light one time,
But then show it to someone else another time.
-
Lovers are inconsistent
Like the condensed clouds in the sky.
They may be large one time,
But their forms vanish over time.
-
Lovers are unfaithful
Like the boisterous birds in the air.
They want to be partners with me,
But eventually, they leave me.
-
Lovers only last a short time
Like the lives of the mayflies.
They wish to be with me one day,
Yet they are gone the next day.
-
Lovers fade throughout the constant history
Like the foundations of the sandcastles.
They are crumbling down by oceans' waves,
But they don't realize these dangerous waves.
-
Lovers lastly are easily swayed
Like the seeds of the dandelions.
Their exaggerated loves increasingly puff
When reality blows them like scattered fluffs.

A/N: This poem is based loosely on the poem "sunflowers" from Alphabet Soup. I don't know if this going to be one of my favorite poems I wrote, but I would like to dedicate this poem to charmed-life. I just read some of her poems yesterday, and I'm sure they are fantastic. If you like this poem, comment, vote, and share. Over and out.
