The pack's journey to get Stiles back and defeat the Nogitsune along with the obstacles he threw at us was a problem that lasted long days and sleepless nights. We'd constantly have to watch our backs and persistently check up on everyone to make sure they were okay.

Whenever I'd have all types of panic attacks, Aiden, specifically, would help me get through them.

We were best friends since he arrived at Beacon Hills and were closer than any of the other members of the pack were.

Unfortunately, as time passed, I began to develop feelings for him.

And to make the situation even better, he happened to develop feelings for Lydia. At one point, everyday, I would be forced to listen to his gushing over how perfect Lydia was and how much he liked her.

It hurt so much to see him love her instead of me. Of course it did.

But none of those nights I spent crying myself to sleep after hanging up on the phone with Aiden, just having listened for hours on end to his problems with Lydia, hurt more than the moment I balled my eyes out as Aiden passed away in my arms.

I remember the day everything changed, when my heart shattered into a million pieces and there was no one there to pick them back up.

Derek, Ethan, Aiden, and I were outside the school with the triskele urn. The nogitsune and a few oni were there, the three of us wolfing out and beginning to fight.

"We can't do this! We can't beat them!" Aiden yelled out as we all were getting beat up pretty bad.

"Aiden, take the box. We'll hold them off as long as we can," I ordered him.

He did what he was told but an arrow went flying, hitting an oni right in the chest. It was Chris.

We continued fighting up until Chris shoot an arrow and an oni had sliced it in half.

"Aiden, get the arrow! It's my last one!" Chris called out to the boy.

Aiden sprinted toward the arrow tip on the ground and spun back around, hitting the oni in the chest.

Although I had been thrown onto the floor and was in pain, I saw the Oni's blade impale Aiden's abdomen with its sword. Aiden fell onto his knees.

Time seemed to slow down and everything that seemed to be keeping me alive stopped for a few seconds.

"NO!" I screamed, using all of my energy to get up and run to his side.

The Oni disappeared and I was able to catch Aiden in my arms, pulling out the sword swiftly so it wouldn't hurt as bad for him.

Aiden's coughs full of pain were soon joined with blood.

"No, no, no," I brushed his hair out of his face with tears falling down my own," Aiden..."

Ethan and Derek came over, watching helplessly behind me.

"It hurts," he mumbled jokingly, forcing a smile.

"You idiot," I laughed, sniffling," you're gonna be okay. It's okay."

"I don't think so, Y/NN. I'm sorry guys."

"No, I can't lose you. You're the only one I have," I sobbed," I don't wanna have to go on without you."

"I'm sorry."
