piggyback

A lot of accidents have occurred on and off stage since management allowed toys for the kids to be brought it. However, even the "bigger" kids started to use the toy vehicles! Not only did they cause trouble and scratches on the walls and floor of the studio, the little kids who were learning how to use the toys would oftentimes bump into things and people. The stage area, backstage included, was always crowded especially when the show was on. Big set pieces and equipment also needed to be moved in and out quickly so a lot of traffic was going behind the scenes.

Without "toys" to while their time, Maine and Alden resorted to physical games. They would often play thumb-wrestling and "mercy". They tried playing tag but, "traffic" backstage was bad so they couldn't really chase each other. On one late afternoon, in an empty studio, they decided to play hide and seek. It took a while for Rj to find Maine who had hidden and actually fallen asleep behind one of the bigger set pieces off to the side of the stage!

In their many moments of play, Rj would trip on himself, getting the nickname "lampa" from almost everyone. He would trip on set pieces and cables running on the floor, he would trip going up the stairs or steps as well as just while walking! There didn't seem a day that passed that he wouldn't trip!

Maine's playfulness was more physical. Having grown up with 2 brothers, she was used to rough games and wrestling matches. She might be small and thin in stature but she hit strong and had a firm grip of things. One thing she liked doing was running behind people and jumping on their backs. She did this once when she and Rj were walking. They spotted Leysam a few feet ahead when they turned the corner. Rj, who was thinking that they were playing their usual shooting game where potential bad guys lurked the corners of the area, readied his "gun". Maine, on the other hand, darted towards Leysam and jumped on his back!

"Kuyaaaaaaaaa!" Maine screamed as she ran towards Leysam.

"Ay! Susko ka Meng!" Leysam exclaimed.

From there, Maine looked at Rj. He instantly figured what Maine's plans were so he ran towards the other direction. They started a game of tag. Being a guy, Rj had longer strides so Maine couldn't chase him. It took a while before she could catch up to him; he eventually slowed his pace so she could tag him. In the end, while he was bent down, tying his shoelaces, Maine suddenly jumped on his back!

"Sakay?!" she said as she wrapped her arms around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder.

He slowly stood up to adjust Maine's weight and to carry her legs properly. Once he got his balance, he run around the area while Maine held on, laughing. They looked like little kids having the time of their lives.

They spotted some fans and approached them. Instead of setting Maine down, Rj adjusted his hold of her and continued having their photos taken for a few minutes. After a while, he run again, still with Maine "attached" to his back.

When they finally got tired, Maine hopped off and got a towel from her bag. She approached Rj and automatically wiped his sweat. He too, did the same, but with his hands.

"Turn" she told him and he followed.

She snaked up her hand under his shirt and started wiping his back.
