The characters are Maine and Rj and most of the plots are based on what I have seen or read in the world wide web. All are FICTION.
Rj always wondered how it would be like to sleep with Maine. So far, they've napped together in the van while in transit, her head usually resting on his shoulder; or on the couch or chairs while waiting during shoots. Once, they had fallen asleep on plastic chairs while waiting for their cue at the amusement park while they were doing a commercial shoot.
It had been raining for the past days as there was a storm looming. The couple were basically confined to the area around the studios. One evening, after Rj brought Maine home to her condo, he decided to stay for while and wait for the rain to subside.
They watched TV in her living room. They sort of monitored the weather as the rains didn't seem to want to cease anytime soon. They had dinner prior to their settling in on the couch so they were just cuddling and watching the news intently, munching on popcorn.
"Grabe naman tong ulan na to..." Maine sighed.
"Oo nga e....dati, lagi kaming binabaha...." Rj shared.
"Talaga?..." Maine sat up and looked at Rj with concern.
"Oo...dun sa dati namin sine-stay-han na house....laging binabaha pag-maulan...."
"Anong ginagawa nyo?"
"Ayun....nag-aakyat kami ng gamit sa taas....kami nina Kuya at Daddy....minsan nga di na maganda yung amoy nung tubig e...."
"Ayy...."
"...kaya kami lumipat sa Laguna....and we made sure na medyo mataas na yung house para di abutan ng baha...."
"Hmm...." Maine settled back on Rj's shoulder.
The rain came down heavily outside. Rj stood up to go to the bathroom while Maine went to the kitchen to get them more juice.
Once back on the sofa, Rj looked at Maine.
"...uhmm...Love...."
"...hmmm??...."
"....May I.....stay....."
"....I was just going to ask....I saw the rain outside the window....ang lakas pa rin.....and the news says na baha na sa C-5.....Do you want to stay over?.....para lang di ka maipit sa baha?"
Rj scratched his head and had an apologetic look on his face.
"....baka hassle...."
"....no, it's not....no hassle at all...."
They both stood up and Rj kissed Maine on the lips before picking up the popcorn bowl and glasses they used. They took the stuff to the kitchen. It was around 2am.
Maine went to the bathroom to get ready for bed. Rj, who was a frequent "visitor" at her condo, already had some of his things in the guest bathroom so he got ready, too.
He lay down on the sofa after getting a jacket he always brought in his bag and covered his face with it. He was in his boxers and a plain white shirt.
Maine came out of her bedroom in her night shirt and found Rj lying on the couch.
"O...what are you doing here?" she asked as she sat beside him on the couch, pulling the jacket away from his face.
"....dito ako matutulog...."
"Dun tayo sa room ko..." she smiled and tilted her head in the direction of her bedroom door.
"..are you sure?..."
"Oo naman....tara!" Maine stood up and held out her hand.
Rj took her hand and headed for the bedroom.
They slept beside each other on her bed.
It was their first time to "sleep together" so Rj was trying his best not to sleep to deeply. He was just too shy. He liked the idea, though, of being more "intimate" with Maine this way.
Many nights were spent this way after that evening. Rj was a regular "guest" at Maine's condo. He would either hang out there after work or sleep there because she insisted for him to stay instead of driving alone all the way home to Laguna at ungodly hours.
They started off with just lying beside each other on the bed while they slept. Soon, they would cuddle and fall asleep in each other's arms.
One time though, Maine couldn't breathe properly. She tried to push whatever was on top of her but it was too heavy. She thought she was dreaming and having a bad one at that. She pushed and pushed until she couldn't anymore and opened her eyes to find Rj sprawled diagonally on top of her small frame!
"Rj!" she said. He didn't move.
"Rj!" she repeated, pushing him. He moved slightly but not enough. She was still pinned under him.
"Love! Ano ba!!" Maine screamed as she mustered all her strength to sit up, pushing Rj to roll off her.
"....Huh?!.....bakit?!" Rj woke up with a start.
"....anong bakit?!...." Maine was cross.
"....huh?....anong nangyari?...."
"....halos madurog na ako sa bigat mo e....."
"....huh?....."
"....nakahiga ka on top of me....ambigat mo!"
"...sorry....sorry Love...." Rj said as he pulled Maine in for a hug.
