October, usually considered a month of gratitude, empathy and thanks. Therefore we have Thanksgiving, but that's not the only holiday that is celebrated in this month, it's also Halloween. The night of Halloween when all spirits come out at night to have their own fun. But that's not all that happens in Nightshade, the immortals that wander around during the day have always been rivals. For centuries it has been this way, but as mortals began to reside in the town the immortals started to keep their identity a secret. They might be enemies but they don't want their feud to affect the mortals. Otherwise the worst could happen.
In the township of Nightshade there are only three high schools, one of which is Crosswell High. This years freshman's were a little special because three of them had something special in them, they won't realize it untill later onwards but for now let's see what happens when the three friends face the deep secrets of Nightshade.
"I can't believe we moved again, it's not fair!" Scarlett shrieked in annoyance at her parents. "I don't want to leave King City." She spoke in a soft voice this time. She stared outside the window from her fathers SUV, at every passing tree and buildings that she is familiar with, she will not see it all ever again.
Scarlett was an only child, she lived with two loving and caring parents but constantly moved. Well, only three times. King City was the only place were she really felt at home she didn't want to move anywhere else. But since her parents found that if they moved, it would be closer to where they worked. So she was forced to move to Nightshade.
Scarlett was enrolled to Crosswell High School, it was in late September, October was lurking around the corner. It was her first day and she hoped for it to go well since she would have to make new friends, she needs a good first impression.
"Okay mom, I'm leaving!" She yelled through the front door.
"Wait," her mother came running to her, "good luck,be positive and smile." Her mother Laura Frost said as she smiled herself. She gave her daughter a quick hug and Scarlett left her new home to her bus stop.
She walked down the sidewalk, looking around her new surroundings. Scarlett observed the neighbourhood, it seemed okay. All the houses were quiet though, she was used to her vibrant city where all the kids would be outside rain or shine. But Nightshade felt like the complete opposite to her, it was dead.

Hello Lovelies,
I'm sorry the story seems a little boring, and this was probably the shortest chapter I have written, shorter than the ones in my other story! But I promise I'll update a longer and more interesting one soon. This one just gives you a little background info on Scarlett.
I'm just trying to keep a balance with school work and Wattpad.
