After trying her best to explain the hidden mysteries, legends and myths of Nightshade, Scarlett tried her best to reveal her true self to Violette. Her powers.
"Violette," Scarlett called out to her friend who was staring at her in bewilderment. "Please say something."
No response.
"Violette, say something. You're scaring me." She held her hands and Violette immediately ripped them away.
"Scared?" Violette started. "I'm scaring you?"
Scarlett didn't say a word, her eyes spoke everything. Her sad eyes.
"You're scaring me! The first time you told me about your 'powers' I didn't really believe you. I thought you were just tired and, I wasn't thinking that night either. Whenever I try to remember what you told me about your supernatural powers, there's like a blockage of some sort in my memory." She explained.
"I'm so sorry. Violette, I would never lie to you or keep secrets. It's just that I never got the time."
"Well then make time for me Scarlett, you need to talk to me. I'm your best friend." Violette said quietly this time. "You're like my sister, and we're supposed to share everything with each other."
Scarlett slouched, "I'm sorry, you know I love you right." She smiled, and Violette smiled back. "Now, I can't wait to tell you about Veronica. turns out she's a witch!"
"I don't find that hard to believe, considering her personality." Violette sneered.
"But she's actually really nice." Violette looked at her friend with a shocked expression.
"So you know how I told you about Grace and Eric." Violette nodded. "They haven't spoken to me for the longest time."
"Well, maybe you should go meet them. Trying messaging them or something." She suggested.
"Trust me, I tried messaging. They won't reply."
"Did you want to go tomorrow?" She asked.
"I'm not sure Adrian would want me to go alone." Scarlett said.
"I'll go with you."
"I know that, but he would wan't to come, but he thinks it's best not to go." Scarlett explained.
"Why do you let him control your life?"
"I don't, he just knows what's best."
Violette frowned. "Don't let him bully you around."
"I promise, he doesn't." Scarlett assured. "So it's settled then, we'll go tomorrow after breakfast."

NEXT MORNING
"Morning ladies." Mr. Frost greeted the girls as they entered the kitchen.
"Morning." They chimed.
"So I made scrambled eggs, I have to rush to work." She kissed Scarlett on her forehead and hugged Violette.
"Bye sweety." She pecked her husband on the cheek and rushed out the door with her car keys.
"I'll be taking my car for an oil change and have a meeting with someone after. I'll see you two in the evening." Scarlett's dad said as he smiled, put his coffee mug down, and headed out the door.
