Chapter 9

"And then I told him that she wasn't even that much into him." Violette and Scarlett had already began gossiping. 

"Wow!" Scarlett replied. "Violette, i'm so happy that you're here. I was getting so lonely." She sighed. 

"Don't worry, I think i'll be visiting you often." She said wrapping her arms around Scarlett. 

"Girls, come downstairs!" They heard Scarlett's mother from downstairs calling them for dinner. They went downstairs and after dinner Scarlett got to know that Violette was allowed to stay at her place for a sleepover over this weekend. 

"The dinner was delicious Mrs. Frost!" Violette said. 

"Thank you sweetheart. You two must be having a blast." She said raising her eyebrows in a playful way. Violette and Scarlett looked at each other then nodded with a little chuckle. 

"So Violette you have everything right?" Her parents asked before leaving and she nodded. She gave them a hug and kiss then they drove off. When the girls closed the door they ran upstairs to Scarlett's  room and started having their evening fun. 

They heard a knock on the door. "Come in." Scarlett chirped. It was her mother. 

"Having fun?" She asked. 

"Yes!" Scarlett and Violette exclaimed. 

"I'm happy to see you girls having fun. Dad and I will be in our room so if you need anything just knock." They nodded. 

"Scar, I will go and change." Violette made her way to the bathroom, and Scarlett nodded. She started to set up her bed, there wasn't any need for a sleeping bag they would sleep together on Scarlett's bed. She took out another pillow for Violette and sat on her bed with her phone. 

She was waiting for Violette to come out but her bedroom's lights suddenly turned off. "Violette?" She got off her bed, she doesn't like the dark. "Violette?" She tried to navigate her way through her bedroom and find the light switch. "Violette, if you're scaring me...I swear. I'm scared of the dark. Violette?" She started walking all over the place, it was pitch black she couldn't make anything out of her room.

She went back to what she thinks is her bed and searched for her phone, once she found it she pressed the home button but then the dead battery symbol showed up. "What? It was at 70% when I was using it." She was flabbergasted. 

She was frustrrated because she couldn't see anything, she felt like she was stuck in a dark hole. "Mom! dad!" She yelled. No answer. Before she could call for them again her mouth and eyes were covered by two hands. She wanted to scream but she couldn't. She was kicking and screaming and wouldn't stop but then, that smell it was familiar. "Adrian?" She turned around and it was him, he was standing next to the open window. "What are you doing?" She almost yelled at him, as if he were a child. 

"I have to tell you something." he said. 

"And you had to do all of this?" She balled her eyes out.

"I didn't want to appear in front of your friend, Violette." Her heart was still beating fast from all of the rash movements. 

"Okay," she rubbed her head. "What did you want to tell me?" 

"The werewolves atatcked the council. My cousin Amanda sort of killed one of their pack members first but-" 

"Vampire killed a werewolf?" She stopped him. "There are werewolves too?" She asked. 

"Let me finish. So, now the werewolves left with the body but they will come back for us." He said worridly. 

"If anyone asks you anything don't tell them you know about me." He said. 

"But they police officer knows that I know about you." She said.

"No, I mean my father. The members of my clan. Especially Amanda, they will ask you where I am." 

"Why? Are you running away?" She asked in a worried tone. He nodded.

"But-" 

"Shh" He stopped her from speaking. " I'm going to leave now." 

"What if I have a question? What if I need to talk to you? Why do you have to go?" She said grabbing his arm.

"You'll be fine as long as you keep your mouth shut." With those last words he fell back and landed perfectly on his feet. 

Scarlett stared at him in the moonlight, and he looked back one last time. When she turned around the lights suddenly turned back on. 

"Scarlett we heard you screaming." her mother bursted in through the door. 

"Oh, um. It was a spider." she covered up. 

"Do you want dad to kill it?" she asked. 

"Nope. I got it." She said with a smile. Violette walked in from the bathroom. 

"Hey Scar, I love your body spray. I put some on if you don't mind." She said. 

"Goodnight girls." Scarlett's mother left the room.
