Jongin

I groaned as I noticed my face was lightened by sunlight and rolled on my other side in the comfortable bed. I didn't want to wake up, not yet. My body still felt heavy from the lack of sleep. I slid my hand under the pillow and sighed happily, pulling the sheets a bit further over my body.
I sniffed in the thick clean scent from the hospital my nose has gotten used to- wait. It didn't smell like the hospital at all.

With a jerk I sat up straight in the bed. I now noticed the sheets were a light shade of blue instead of plain white.
I pinched the bridge of my nose while closing my eye. Where was I?
I opened them again as the answer welled up in my head.
I crawled out of bed, suddenly forgetting all about my tiredness.
I found my jeans and a sweater and put them on before searching the pockets for my phone. "Where is it?" I mumbled as I couldn't find it.
I looked in the drawer of the nightstand and even under the bed, but no phone.

I stood up and headed out of the door. The hallway was big with a lot of other doors. I walked down the stairs, trying not to make a sound. With a bit of luck he would still be sleeping and I could sneak out of the house.
As I arrived at the bottom of the stairs my hands started shaking lightly. I could hear someone was in the kitchen, probably making breakfast as a woman's voice was talking in an annoyed tone. I walked further as my bare foot hit a bag that was laying on the ground. The sound it made was soft, but loud enough to make the voice stop talking.

I bit my lip and thought about what the best option was; Waiting here for someone to find me or take a sprint to the door. Footsteps came closer to the door that separated the living room and kitchen from the stairs and front door. I held my breath as it flew open.
A woman I had never seen tilted her head while looking at me. "You weren't sneaking around were you sweetie?"

I just kept looking at her without saying a word. She sighed, "you must be bungry."

I couldn't deny my stomach was rumbling by the idea of real food. Not the food out of the hospital. I nodded slowly and she smiled. "Come further."

I followed her and saw Jungsu sitting at the table, taking a sip from his coffee. He didn't look up at me as I entered the room. "You're awake."

"No shit. Where's my phone?" I immediately asked in a sharp tone.

He placed his cup on the table and eyed me. "I have it.

"Give it back to me," I demanded.

He seemed to think about my request that was more like an order, but shook his head, "no."

"I said, give it back." I moved closer.

"Jongin sit down." He looked me straight in the eye, but I didn't move. "Sit. Down."

"No!" I tried to steady my breath before talking again. "I haven't even told my boss where I am. Everyone will be worried."

The chuckle he let out surprised me. "Who? That boyfriend of yours?"

"What's so funny?" I asked.

"That murderer of yours?" His face turned serious. "Yeah, he'll be worried sick."

"How...?" I blinked at him in confusion. "What...?"

"Yes, I know about it and I am disgusted of you." He slammed his fist on the table. "How could you betray your father like that?"

"I... I didn't know at first!" I protested. "Besides, I hate that man."

Jungsu's mouth became a horizontal stripe as I spoke those words. "You're still as worthless as the last time I saw you."

"But you know what?" I asked him. "He may be the one that hit me, but you've done something worse and I will never forgive you for that."

Without a warning he stood up from the chair and punched me in the face. I stumbled backwards as I felt tears pricking in my eyes. "You have always been disrespectful."

"That's enough Jungsu," the woman spoke. "Plus, you need to stop being such a dick and think properly. He should call his boss."

"You are right." He bit his lip while turning away from me. "I'll be in my office."
I watched how he walked away as I touched my lip to see if it was bleeding.

"Sit down." She said in a sweet voice. "My name is Minsuh."

I sat down on a chair and looked up at her, "I wanna go home."

"I know, but you should eat." She placed a plate with pancakes in front of me and squeezed my shoulder. "Everything will be okay."

"No," I shove the plate away over the table. "I'm not a kid."

"I know that Jongin. First things first."

"I don't want to be under one roof with that beast," I snapped.

"He's still your cousin," Minsuh remarked.

"No. He's not my family and neither was my dad." I suddenly felt a lump in my throat. "I want to leave."

"I know you do, but you can't. Now eat."

"I said no!" I yelled frustrated as I pushed the plate away with force and stood up. "You can't just keep me here against my will!"

"Watch us." Minsuh spoke through gritted teeth.
