Jongin
As much as I wanted to stay with Kyungsoo the doctor told me I couldn't. He needed rest and I wasn't allowed to see him long. But I didn't wanna waste my time in the waiting room. I wanted to feel useful, so I went back to the room in Lay's building Kyungsoo and I had shared. I didn't exactly know what I was doing but it felt like I was doing something important. I thought about going to Baekhyun's place to check if everything was alright. I hadn't seen him in ages and Lay said Tao would bring Monggu to Baekhyun, so I would go there soon.
I opened the door and walked in, closing it behind me. I suddenly felt insecure and stupid for going here. What was there to get?
I walked into the room and found one of Monggu's balls I had forgotten. I picked it up and smiled, thinking about the day I got Monggu. It seemed such a long time ago and so many things had happened. It amazed me.I looked around and noticed one of the drawers of a cabinet was slightly open. I walked over to it and pulled it further open, revealing a bag. I took it out and sat down on the bed before letting a gun slide out of the bag. My heart started beating a little faster and an unknown excitement boiled up inside of me. I picked it up and looked at it closely.
This was Kyungsoo's gun.
I almost let it slip out of my hands when I heard footsteps behind the door.
I quickly put the gun away and stood up. I held my breath, scared of who would enter, and swallowed nervously.
I sighed in relief when the door swung open, revealing Tao with Monggu in his arms."Monggu!" I exclaimed. The dog barked happily and tried to get out of Tao's grip while the latter quickly put him down on the ground.
I picked him up and received several licks in my face."What are you doing here?" Tao asked while tucking his hands in his pockets.
"They wouldn't let me stay with Kyungsoo and I felt useless while waiting there, doing nothing." I explained.
"Like what?" Tao questioned as he leaned against the cupboard.
I shrugged. "Hey, do you know how to use a gun?"
"Do I look like a fucking amateur to you?" Tao scoffed.
"No, I am the amateur here." I sat down on the bed and placed Monggu on my lap.
"Why you wanna know kid?" Tao asked. "Found a toy?"
"Are you calling me a kid?" I asked with a frown.
"I'm just joking around. Don't wind yourself up." He let out a chuckle. "Let me see it."
I took the gun out and placed it on his stretched out hand. "It's Kyungsoo's."
Tao nodded. "I know, I've seen it before. Nice thing." He looked up from the weapon and eyed me. "You really wanna know?"
I nodded. "Yes."

"Jongin!" As soon as I entered the house I was almost thrown onto the ground of the sudden weight that jumped on me. "I missed you so much!"
"Baekie be careful," Chanyeol interfered. "You might hurt him and yourself."
Baekhyun pulled back but was still holding my arms, eyeing me from head to toe, with a small pout on his lips. "I just missed you so much Jonginie."
"I missed you too." I flashed him a smile before my face dropped. "What happened with your neck?"
Baekhyun frowned, "you don't know?"
I shook my head and Chanyeol placed his hand on Baekhyun's shoulder. "Let's go to the living room. We have more people here and a lot to talk about."
Kyungsoo
I woke up and didn't feel the comfortable warmth I had fallen asleep with. I opened my eyes slowly before looking around.
I was alone.
I caught myself pouting and immediately stopped.
Someone opened the door and I looked up to see who it was.Dongsun walked in and flashed me a small smile. "You are awake."
I nodded, "Where's Jongin?" I realized that sounded ungrateful so I added, "thanks for coming."
"He's at Baekhyun's." He explained as he carried the seat closer to the bed before sitting down. "They have a lot to talk about so I thought it was a good idea to see how my nephew is doing."
"Oh..." I couldn't help but feel a pang of pain in my chest. I had been visiting Jongin everyday when he was in the hospital. Talking to him while I wasn't even sure he could hear me.
But I couldn't blame him.
He hadn't seen Baekhyun in ages and of course he wanted to see him. "Thanks for coming," I said again.Dongsun sighed, "you know, I never thought we would end up in a situation like this. When you started hanging out with Kris I realized it was slowly going to get worse, but this..." He shook his head and looked away. "I have always kept loving you. After what happened to your parents, the disappearance."
I felt tears welling up in my eyes by hearing his words. "I know." My voice was nothing more than a whisper but Dongsun had heard me. "And I tried not to disappoint you again, but failed. That's what I am, a failure. It's like I am the source of everyone's pain and I don't know what to do about it."
He faced me again and I noticed he was trying hard to keep his face expressionless. "This needs to end."
I nodded, "but how?"
"We'll see."
"They won't let me out of the hospital yet. I can't do anything." I spoke annoyed. My hands were itching from the desire to do something, but I knew I couldn't. I was weak.
"That's the good part," Dongsun remarked.
"Why?" I asker confused. "Why is that a good thing? I sure as hell don't like it."
"You are safe in here." I wanted to protest but I knew he was right. "This way he won't be able to reach you. Which gives us time."
"To find a way to end this?" I asked.
"Exactly."
