Kyungsoo

I sighed before dialing his number and holding the phone against my ear. It went to voicemail.
I took a deep breath before recording a message. "Hey, Jongin. Ehm... We are quite worried about you, since you left with someone when you were supposed to be waiting for Baek and Chanyeol. You also don't pick up your phone. Just call me back and tell me to fuck off or something, but don't disappear.
I also want to know if you hate me or... I don't know. Call one of us."

I pursed my lips as I stared into the distance. I was so worried about him it made me sick. Did he walk out with Kris or was it someone else? Did he want to or not? Was he in trouble?

I squinted my eyes at the sudden intense light of the headlights from an old Chevrolet. It made its way down the road to were I was standing. The window from the backseat rolled down and revealed Lay. "Get in."

"My mother told me not to talk to strange men," I spoke as I turned my face away from the car.

"Your mother didn't have much time to teach you more did she?"

I shot him a warning glare, "I'd shut up if I was you."

"Is that a threat?" Lay asked with a chuckle.

I placed my hand on the roof of the car and leaned down, "yes."

"I see your hand is still useless." He said as he spotted the bandage. "Such a shame it's your good hand."

"It still hurts like a bitch too. Do you have a cig?" I asked as I unintentionally bit my lip so hard I tasted the rusty taste of blood.

"You should go see a doctor again," he remarked as he dug in his pocket. "I mean it." He gave me a cigarette and lit it for me.

"Thanks, but no." I took a long drag and sighed for the hundredth time that day. It had been a long time since I got one, but I needed it right now.

"Still don't like the smell of hospitals?" He questioned. "You've been visiting Jongin though."

"That was because I wanted to see him." I frowned. "Do you think he left because he wanted to?"

"Maybe." Lay shrugged, showing me he didn't really care.

I rubbed my eyes, "why can't he just call me and say he doesn't want to see me again?"

"Maybe he lost his phone or something," Lay suggested. "He would've called Chanyeol if he didn't want to talk to you."

"Please help me Lay, this one time." I begged.

"Where's my money?"

"Where's my uncle?"

"How should I know?" Lay replied angrily.

"Exactly." I smirked as I saw his annoyed face. He was easily to mess with.

"He probably left you," Lay spoke. "Like he should."

I hit the roof of the car hard with my fist, "fuck you."

"Not today Kyungie, I'm a bit busy." He leaned back in his seat. "If you're not getting in I will drive off."

"Can you give me a lift to Jongin's house?" I asked, taking another drag.

"You still live there?" He asked surprised.

"Monggu," I said like it would explain everything.

"That's not a reason, you could've brought him with you to Baekhyun's place." Lay remarked with a frown.

"I want to be alone. Yes or no?" I asked, impatiently tapping my fingers against the material.

"Fine." He rolled his window up and I walked over to the other side so I could get in, after I threw the cigarette on the ground.

"You're such a rich asshole," I said as Lay knocked on the glass that parted the driver with the passengers. The car drove off and Lay shrugged, "you think?"

"Oh shut up," I turned my face to look at him. "Lay, I need you this one time."

He sighed deeply before answering, "Kyungsoo I know Jongin means a lot to you, but I also got my job. Think about what everyone else will think if I let you not pay me back."

"I will pay you back if you help me, if not you can try to kill me." I spoke in a low voice.

"What are you talking about?" Lay asked and looked at me like I was crazy.

"That's how you deal with things right? If they don't do what you want you'll just get them out of the way. The funny thing is that it's all done by my uncle, it wasn't even my problem. Are we even friends?" I questioned while turning my head away again.

"It's funny how you said 'try.'" Lay remarked with a chuckle. "Confident huh?"

"You know me," I murmured as I watched the few cars passing by. All I wanted right now was to know where Jongin was. I didn't care much about my own life.

"Fine. You got yourself a deal. If I help you, you pay me." Lay said and reached out his hand.

I shook it with a grin on my face. "Don't let me down dickhead."
