Jongin
I woke up from a loud bang. I lifted my head to look out of the window and noticed the sky was turning black, it would probably start raining soon. Maybe it had been thunder.
I sighed and shifted to lay in a more comfortable position. Since I couldn't move my wrist in a different position my left arm hurt. I groaned and another sigh left my mouth. I really wanted to just sleep, but I kept waking up from either the pain or noises.I closed my eyes again and started thinking about how nice it would be to just sleep in my own bed, Monggu next to me and maybe Kyungsoo in my arms. Yeah, that would be great. A small smile appeared on my face, but faded away when I heard someone yell, "don't move!"
I couldn't hear who it was which worried me.What if there were other people? I couldn't defend myself like this. I frowned while looking around. But what if they were here to save me? No that's ridiculous. No one knows where I am.
Maybe Minsuh is in trouble? I still hadn't heard Jungsu coming home, but he could have arrive while I was sleeping.I waited for something else to happen, but it was quiet. I pulled my wrist again and yelped in pain. I was sure the flesh of my wrist was open and it burned badly. I held my breath as suddenly rushed footsteps came running up the stairs. Was Jungsu coming? Or Minsuh again?
I let out a shivery breath and waited for someone to open the door. I heard someone stopped in front of mine and tried the handle, but it was locked.
Weird. Jungsu and Minsuh knew it was locked.
I bit on my lip nervously and the person behind the door started poking inside of the lock. I furrowed my eyebrows while listening to the sounds.
There was a click and the person tried the handle again, this time succeeding."Xiumin!" I exclaimed in both happiness and disgust as soon as the person walked through the door. "Wh... What are you doing here?"
"Saving you." A wide smile decorated his face. "I know you are happy to see me, but gue-" his sentence was cut off when someone else stumbled into the room, panting heavily.
"K... Kyungsoo..." I stammered. It felt like all the air was gone.
The said male grinned at me before walking over to me. "I told you I'd find you."
I couldn't help the tears of joy that escaped my eyes as he moved closer to free my wrist. "And I believed you," I whispered.
I hissed when I saw the flesh of my wrist. It was red with a small line of blood. I carefully rubbed the skin, trying to soothe the pain as it finally hit me. Kyungsoo was here and I was going to be free again.
I looked up again and noticed he was staring down at me, probably not sure of what to do now.
I sat up and groaned, my whole body was aching."Are you okay?" Xiumin asked from behind Kyungsoo.
I nodded and stood on my feet, "how did you know?"
"A story for another time," Xiumin decided. "We should go now."
Kyungsoo reached out his hand, letting me decide if I would take it or not. I tried to look him in the eyes, but he turned his face away. I grabbed his hand and he glanced at me before pulling me with him out of the room.
I stumbled after him as we rushed down the stairs. I expected Jungsu to show up any minute, but Xiumin opened the front door and the street was just empty.
I smiled as I noticed Sehun's car. Kyungsoo opened the door for me and I got in, followed by himself. Xiumin was sitting in the passenger seat and Sehun drove off."Is this really happening?" I asked and cleared my throat as my voice came out harshly.
"Yes." Kyungsoo handed me a water bottle and I quickly opened it, gulping the water down. I hadn't realised I had been so thirsty until now.
"Hey guys," Sehun spoke and looked at me through the rearview mirror. "Don't you think it went too easy?"
"This is not a movie," Xiumin remarked but Kyungsoo nodded. "I think so too."
"Maybe Lay knew," Sehun pursed his lips while thinking. "Anyway, I'm happy you are here again Jonginie, even though you need a long shower."
I chuckled. "Thanks a lot." I turned my head to look at Kyungsoo, but he was slumped down in his seat with his eyes closed. I took the time to look at him and noticed he was looking very tired and in pain. Still handsome of course. I took his hand and noticed there was some dried blood on it. I started caressing the skin and then brought it to my mouth to press a kiss on it.
Kyungsoo's eyes slowly fluttered open and he stared at me.
Since the day I had been shot I wasn't able to tell him I still loved him. Even on the phone Jungsu interrupted it. But somehow I couldn't find the courage to do it right now. I turned away to look at Sehun. "Where are we going?""Your house?" Sehun suggested, but Kyungsoo sat up straight again. "Not a good idea."
"Why not?" I asked curiously. "What about Monggu?"
"We can get him, but as soon as Jungsu finds out you are gone he's not gonna be happy." Kyungsoo explained, avoiding eye contact. "So maybe we can go to... Lay?"
"You trust him?" Xiumin asked.
"More than I trust you," Kyungsoo replied. "He promised me to help so why would he change his mind and make it a trap?"
Xiumin shook his head, "I think you are right. What about the others?"
"I'll see what I can do," Kyungsoo answered. "But for now we need to make sure Jongin is safe."
