Kyungsoo
I woke up with Jongin's scent all around me. I smiled with my eyes still closed and rubbed my nose against the pillow. I could almost image his arms around me, pulling me closer to his warm body as he tries to fall asleep again. His scent was still on the pillow and it made me feel more comfortable. I pulled the shirt I was wearing up to my nose and tried to smell him more.
Slowly bits and pieces of yesterday's conversation started to come back, pulling me further away from sleep."You know I worked together with Kris, not anymore, but I know more than you do and maybe it can help."
I turned to my other side and breathed in deeply. I didn't want to wake up. Not yet. What I wanted was the world to stop for a moment so I could catch up on sleep.
"If you don't know where Jongin is I don't want to talk with you any longer."
I opened my eyes and looked out of the window to the blue sky. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and saw I was too late for work. Chanyeol had already tried to call me, but since I was still sleeping I obviously didn't pick up. Now I kind of remembered I heard my ringtone, but hadn't reacted. Should I call him back or not?
With a deep sigh I let my head fall back into the pillow again, looking up to the screen to dial his number."Kyungsoo?" Chanyeol answered at the second ring. "Where are you?"
"I'm not feeling well," I lied. "I want to stay home."
"If this is about something else please just say it. We all miss Jongin and I know it's even worse for you." He hesitated for a moment before continuing. "Shall I come over?"
I thought about it for a few minutes before answering. "Sure, but please don't bring Baek."
"I'll be there in a bit." He spoke before ending the call.
I threw the phone on the bed before pulling the shirt I was wearing over my head, so it was covering my face.
"Are you just stubborn or an asshole? Your ego is much more worth than Jongin for you."
It seemed like hours had passed when I heard footsteps on the stairs. I wondered how he got in, but decided to leave it.
I could hear the door being opened and someone stepped inside.
I pulled the shirt down to look at him."Kyungsoo..." His eyes traveled down to Jongin's shirt and he ran a hand through his hair. "Oh Kyungsoo."
I didn't reply and kept staring at my hands that were folded in my lap.
Chanyeol walked over to me and sat down. "Tell me what's on your mind.""I miss him so much." My voice cracked as I admitted it. "I love him more than anything and he slipped away. I don't know what to do."
"He'll come back," Chanyeol assured me. "He can't stay away forever."
"You don't understand," I protested. "Everything is my fault. Everything that happens."
"Then explain to me." Chanyeol placed his hand on mine and smiled encouragingly, but I shook my head. "No, I can't."
"You need to relax Kyungsoo." Chanyeol frowned while looking at me. "Let's go see a movie."
I shook my head, "no. I just wanna stay here."
"Look at yourself." Chanyeol shifted on the bed to have a better look at the person in front of him. "You look terribly tired, are wearing Jongin's shirt and don't even wanna go out."
"So?" I glared at him before lying down again, back facing him. "Can you please feed Monggu for me?"
"No. You can do that yourself." He replied. "Plus, you probably didn't have breakfast."
"I'm not hungry." I pulled the sheets up over my head in an attempt to block him out, but of course to no avail. There was no way to stop Park Chanyeol from talking. Unless you'd kill him of course.
"Stop acting so pathetic and full of self-pity." He grabbed the sheets and pulled them off my body. "Get up or I'll call Baekhyun."
"Alright alright!" I sat up and swung my legs over the edge. "I'm up."
A smug grin decorated Chanyeol's face as he watched me. "That always works."
"I hate you," I grumbled before putting on a sweatpants and walking past him out of the door.
"I love you too," he replied and followed me into the kitchen, sitting down on a stool.
I grabbed Monggu's food and gave it to him before making myself a cup of tea, not caring to make breakfast. As I sat down in front of Chanyeol I noticed he was flipping through my sketch book. "Yah!" I exclaimed and tried to take it. "That's private."
Chanyeol grinned as he held the book out of my reach. "Too bad. Never realised you were so small."
I stomped my foot in frustration, only making him laugh more. "That was so cute," he cooed.
"Bet you are too scared to tell Baekhyun how smoll he is and now you are just expressing your frustration on me cause you know Baek will kill me when I kill you." I spoke as I tried to take it out of his hands again.
"Maybe you are right," Chanyeol chuckled. "Would you kill me?"
"Definitely, watch m-" I was cut off by my ringtone. I took it out of my pocket and saw it was Sehun. I pressed the green phone to answer it and held it against my ear. "Sehun?"
"Hey, do you think it's suspicious if a car is standing in front of your house for almost an hour now with the people still inside of it?" He questioned and it immediately hit me what day it was. Yesterday I had received a message that I should be at the barn I killed Jongin's dad the next day, which means today.
"Fuck," I cursed while running to the hall to get my shoes and a jacket. "I'll be there as soon as I can."
"Ehm... Kyungsoo... I think you need to hurry up." Sehun's voice was still calm, but there was now a hint of worry in it.
"I'm on my way." I ended the call and returned to Chanyeol. " Drive me to Sehun's house as fast as you can."
