Kyungsoo

As soon as he stepped back I crawled up, my vision a bit blurry from the hit I had received earlier, tears only making it worse. I stumbled to the burning building and coughed from the sudden heat that was hitting my face.
"Jongin!" I cried out and walked closer. "Jongin."

I tried to get through to the door, but everything was burning. Everything. The heat was already burning my skin and images started to seep through my mind.

"Mom, dad?!" I tried to walk further, but I couldn't. The smoke was starting to get thick and I coughed loudly. "Help me!"

I fell on my knees, tears burning more than the heat.

I could hear muffled voices, but they came from even further into the house. I couldn't go any further. The fire was everywhere.

"Jongin," I tried to scream, but my voice was nothing than a raw whisper. "No, no, no."

"Dad!" I tried to breath, but my lungs didn't let me. I was starting to feel dizzy and angrily wiped the tears away. "Mom!"

My breath hitched as someone grabbed my shoulder, trying to pull me back. I turned half around and saw it was Xiumin. He pulled me up to stand on my feet and supported me as I kept crying and murmuring. "Jongin... He can't."

"He's not inside Kyungsoo," Xiumin spoke, but I shook my head. "Listen to me," he tried again. "He's not there. He's messing with you."

"How do you know?!" I tried to break free, but he grabbed my shirt. "Let me go!"

"And let you kill yourself?" He asked. "Rather not."

"Let me go!" I stopped yelling in surprise as I felt him slap me across the face.

"Get yourself together!" Xiumin said loudly. "He is not there!"

I tried to believe him, but my mind just kept thinking about the fire. It kills everyone you love and to just believe Jongin wasn't in there was difficult. I couldn't take that risk. "No, Xiumin. Please."
I squinted my eyes closed to prevent the tears from falling. "I need to know for sure."

"I know for sure," he tried again. "He's somewhere else."

I wanted to reply, but we both stopped to look at the burning building. A part of the roof had collapsed. I took my chance to break free and ran closer. The idea that Jongin was there somewhere hurt too much. I pulled my shirt up over my mouth and nose and was able to get through to the door. The fire wasn't so bad in this part.
I heard Xiumin call my name, but I ignored it, stumbling over the things that were scattered around on the floor. I fell on my knees again as the smoke pricked my eyes, making them tear up for another reason than the thought of losing Jongin.

Sehun

I was staring at Chanyeol who kept murmuring things I couldn't understand while impatiently walking back and forth. The other people in the waiting room didn't seem to mind his behavior, but it somehow annoyed me. I sighed and turned my focus on Jongdae who was sitting on a chair, tapping his fingers on his knee. He had been confused, since he was the only one who didn't know what really was going on and so I had decided to explain the situation we were in.
Slowly they all started to get angry at Kyungsoo from bringing him in danger and I could understand that, but what annoyed me the most was that they didn't worry about Baekhyun or something. They all just kept cursing Kyungsoo's name.
I shook my head and walked over to Dongsun who was standing in the corner, filling a plastic cup with water.

"Want some?" He asked as he noticed my presence. I nodded and he handed his cup to me before getting a new one for himself. I gulped the cold water down and wiped my mouth with the sleeve of my sweater.

"You okay?" He asked while eyeing me.

"I feel okay," I answered after thinking about how I felt. "It's just confusing."

"I understand that." He nodded in understanding and took a sip from his water. "From one day to another you are thrown into another world. An unpleasant world."

I glanced back at Chanyeol and saw a doctor had come up to him and they were now talking to each other.
"Did you hear anything from them?"

"No."

"Aren't you worried?" I asked surprised. "You are his uncle."

He shrugged, "he has always been able to care for himself."

"That doesn't mean you shouldn't care," I remarked with a frown.

He looked at me from above his cup, "who said I didn't care?"

I opened my mouth to reply, but closed it again. I threw my empty cup in the bin and walked over to Chanyeol who was still talking to the doctor. I could now hear they were talking about Baekhyun.
The doctor's eyes drifted away from Chanyeol and landed on me. "Baekhyun is free to go again. I suggest you take him home and give him some rest."

We both nodded and he gestured us to follow him. I looked back to see Jongdae staring into the distance and decided to let him be for now.
We followed the doctor through some halls until he stopped in front of a door, eyeing us shortly before opening it, allowing us to go in.
Baekhyun's face lit up once he saw us and Chanyeol rushed over to his side to hug him.

I smiled while watching the two. Baekhyun was looking fine apart from the big band aid on his neck and he looked tired, clinging onto his boyfriend who kissed his temple, making the smaller giggle softly.

I thought about where we should go now to be safe and I kept worrying about Kyungsoo and Xiumin. Xiumin had been a friend for a long while, but Kyungsoo was some kind of a stranger and I still couldn't help but worry about his well being. First things first.
