Shelby
I woke up to Max shaking me.
"Shelby! We're about to land and you need to film it."
I meant to say, 'I don't want to get up." But it sounded more like this, "gfdgiuhwufgi"
Max laughed and shook me again. "Fine. I'll eat your twizzlers."
I quickly lifted my head. "Nobody eats my twizzlers."
Max laughed. "I do."
I fake scoffed and playfully punched him in the shoulder.
"Ow. ABUSE!" He yelled.
"SHH!" I laughed.
I felt the pressure increase a little bit.
Which I think means we were descending.
I was never good at science.
"I'm going to get my phone out." I told Max.
He nodded.
Once I got my phone, naturally, I turned it on. Only to see that it was 1 o'clock.
"Hey Max?"
"Yeah?" He turned to me.
"What's the time difference between Pacific Standard Time to Eastern Standard Time?"
"Uh three hours. Didn't you live in New York?"
"Maybe." I giggled.
***IN THE RENTAL HOME***
Liz, Addie and Em ran inside the house, trying to pick the best room.
I just walked in and immediately looked at the view outside.
"Shelby, you okay?" Max said.
"Yeah, just the view is so much better than I imagined."
"Yeah. It is."
I snapped out of it and began to walk up the stairs when Adam arrived in the house.
"Alright Alright! Folks before you pick your room! We need you to come down here."
I heard muffled groans and heavy steps down the stairs.
"Alright. So there are three floors. The second floor is for the ladies, and the basement is for the men."
"Where will you be going, Tim?" Em asked.
Everyone gathered in a collection of laughs.
"So I'm going to go cry in the corner now." Tim said.
"Wait no. Come back, Tim." Em replied.
"Yay!" Tim said in a high voice.
"Alright. Alesa and I will have the room on the main floor because we're sharing." He smiled. "You all can fight over rooms now."
I grabbed my bag and carefully walked up the stairs.
Once I walked up, light blinded me because we were facing the ocean and the sun was lower in the sky.
"Woah."
"I know right." Liz said.
"Yeah. Which rooms did you not take?"
"Well, I thought, since we're both, ya know, that we could share a room. There's two beds. It's the one straight ahead with steps leading up to it.
"Yes! We should totally share rooms!"
I walked towards the steps because they were intriguing.
I opened the door and saw the prettiest room ever.
"Yeah. I thought you'd like it too." Liz said.
"Yeah. Geez. Thanks." I said.
I walked fully into the room.
There were two a full sized beds, and a hammock in the room.
"Woah."
There was a big window with the view of the beach.
The house was beach front, so I could almost touch the water.
I threw my suitcase on the bed and opened it.
I unzipped the bag and unpacked.
"I'm going to unpack later, so I'll be downstairs." Liz told me.
"Alright, see ya later!" I responded.
There wasn't a closet, but there was a dresser.
After unpacking everything, I walked downstairs to meet up with Liz, and I heard a commotion.
"What's happening?" I asked Liz.
She took a breath in and started to talk.
Ask me questions! I'm gonna do a Q&A in a chapter soon!
