Shelby

"Max! Shelby!" A voice called.

We both turned out heads.

"What?" Max yelled.

"Liz needs to talk to Shelby, and I need to talk to you, Max."

I realized that it was Ross talking.

I immediately pushed any thoughts out of my brain.

I felt hands on my back and legs.

Max was picking me up.

I giggled.

Max smiled. "Hey. Ross probably wants to talk for a while, so just get ready instead of coming back down."

"Okay." I smiled at him.

Then we were at the top of the beach, and at our house.

Once Max let me down, I gave Ross a death glare and cracked my knuckles while walking upstairs to Liz and I's room.

"What's up?" I asked Liz, jumping onto my bed.

"Not much. Just wanted to talk to you."

"Oh, okay. What about?"

"Should I tell Ross?"

"I think you might need to." I said. "Tell him later, not while we're celebrating."

"Yeah."

There was a knock on the door.

"Come in!" I said.

Addie walked in.

"Guys! Guess what?"

"What?" Liz asked.

"They have horse rides here! Can we go tomorrow?"

"I don't know. I'm not in charge of this, Adam is." Liz said.

"Yeah, she's right. You should ask Adam."

"Alright. Remember only 2 more hours until we go out to eat." Addie said.

"Shoot! I have to take a shower. Where's the bathroom?" I asked Liz in a hurry.

"Down the steps and to the right." Liz told me getting up.

"Thanks."

"Hurry up!" Max yelled.

"I'm curling my hair with a 445 degree wand. Do you want me to burn your head off?"

"Yup, I'm good."

"That's what I thought." I held the curl, and turned off the curling iron. "Done."

I only did small waves, so it was basically my natural hair, but wavier.

I opened the door to reveal a Max with black jeans and a white tee.

"Woah." I said. "You look hot."

Max laughed. "I should say the same to you."

I was wearing a loose blue dress with flats.

I giggled. "Thanks."

"Let's go, shall we?" he extended his hand.

"We shall." I took his hand.

We walked down the stairs hand in hand and waiting on the couch.

"I'm. So. Hungry." Max said. "I could literally eat so much mac and cheese. And corn dogs. So many corn dogs."

I laughed.

The clatter of footsteps got louder and louder until they stopped.

"Hey guys." Red said.

"Hey, where's everyone else?" I asked.

"Adam and Ross went on a walk to get a van or two."

"Oh geez."

"Yeah. So what are y'all up to?" Red sat down next to Max.

"Just talking." Max said.

"That's what they all say." Red said. "Kidding! Adam said that they were going to tell us the plan of each day while we're waiting for food."

"Nice." I said.

Then I heard a knock at the door.

I went to open it, when it opened itself.

It was a face I did not want to see.

Not now, not ever.

"Hello, Shelby." He said.

"Good bye, Tyler."
