VERY long chapter today

Shelby

I guess I fell asleep in the car because I was forced to wake up to brightness.

I opened my eyes fully and looked up to see Max.

"You okay?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I sat up. "Where are we?"

"We're going horseback riding now. Everyone else went to get the tickets and hold a place in line while I tried to wake you up."

I laughed. "Oh, well let's go now." I got up out of the car and Max followed.

"What took you all so long?" Addie asked.

Max and I walked faster towards them.

"She was sleeping." Max told her.

"It was one of the best sleeps I've had in awhile." I said to Max.

Max smiled.

"Just kidding. You have really bony shoulders."

Max fake punched me. "Shut up."

The next thing I know, we were first in line to get our passes.

I walked up to the lady and she handed me my pass.

I clipped it to my shirt collar and walked away.

Max jogged up behind me to catch up.

"How are you so fast?" He asked me.

"Why are you not fast?" I asked him.

We both laughed.

"Alright." Adam started talking. "I brought 3 GoPros. Who wants to wear one?"

Liz raised her hand. "Ooh! Me! Me!"

Adam handed her the GoPro.

"Anyone else?"

"I will." Max and I said at the same time.

"Okay." Adam handed me both of the cameras along with a strap to put the GoPro on our heads.

I handed one to Max.

Adam started talking again. "So, we get to choose our own horses. But, the horse has to choose us as well, or the horse won't obey you."

"This sounds like Harry Potter." I whispered to Max.

"The wand must choose the wizard, Mr. Potter." Max said in an old british person's voice.

I giggled.

"And we will not have a guide, but there is a path that we have to take."

I brought a big purse with me and I brought a lot of food.

I think Alesa told me that we were going to have a pic-nic eventually, so I brought some smaller snacks just in case.

And by some, I mean I went to the store to buy a few boxes worth of granola bars and proceeded shoved them in my bag.

Adam motioned us to follow him towards the horses.

I put the GoPro on my head and followed him.

I turned the GoPro on and looked at Max.

"Max, I turned the GoPro on. Do you have anything you want to say?"

"It's not appropriate for your channel though."

I glared at him.

"Guys, she's going to beat me up. When there's a cutscene, that's when you'll know that she beat me up."

"Shut up." I fake punched him.

"Hello! My name is Bob, and as you can see, we have an arrangement of horses at the *insert horse farm name here*." An older man said. "What you're going to want to do is grab a few sugar cubes, and  find a horse you might like. After that, put a single sugar cube in your hand and hold it in front of the horse. If he willingly eats it, you can try to pet him or her on the nose. If he or she allows you to do that, stand there and wait. Now, go and find your horse!"

I grabbed a few sugar cubes and put them in my hand.

I looked at all of the horses.

There were some brown ones, black ones, spotted ones, grey ones, and white ones.

But I was distracted by a sound from behind me.

I turned around and saw a horse behind me.

I looked at he.

He was a beautiful white color.

And he was in stall behind me.

I believe that he ate my hair.

But, I think he likes me.

I grabbed a sugar cube and put one on my other hand.

I carefully raised it towards the horse's mouth.

He ate it.

And it felt weird, and I giggled.

"Max!" I whisper yelled. "I'm doing it!"

Once the cube was gone, I raised my hand to try to pet the horse.

The horse's head leaned forward and I pet it's nose.

"Bob?"

I heard a, 'Hm?' from behind me.

"What's this horse's name?"

"Well, that's White Gold. He hasn't chosen anyone in years!" He said.

"What do I do now?" I asked while looking at the bright white horse.

"We're going to let you groom him, then saddle him up."

"Okay." I said.

I walked away and followed Bob.

***

The horse was out of his stall, and was saddled up.

Bob, along with everyone else who had their horse saddled up, walked us over towards a huge room filled with grass indoors.

We walked the horses over and stopped.

"This is where we will teach you how to get onto the horse. But first we have to ask: Does anyone have any asthma, heart disease, or is anyone over 20 weeks pregnant?"

I smiled in my brain.

I was only 13 weeks pregnant, and Liz was 19 weeks in.

We just made it.

Everyone looked over at us but shook their heads no.

I looked at Max and shook my head no.

He did a short nod at me but shook his head.

"Great! Now we're going to teach you how to get onto your horse."

After 30 minutes of learning how to get onto the horse, we were off to the path.
