Shelby
I smiled.
I was about to walk down the aisle.
I was walking down with Max's dad.
Which was weird, because we've never actually met before.
Like, we've been talking while I was waiting, but before then, never met him before.
"Alright, Shelby. We have 3 more minutes till you walk down the aisle. You ready?"
I nodded.
"So, what's the name going to be?" He asked me.
"What?"
"I know that you know that I know."
"Huh?"
He chuckled.
I smiled. "We don't know yet. Max thinks that we need a few prepared, but I think that one's going to pop into my head when I see them."
"Them?" He smiled.
I nodded again.
"How far along are you?" He asked me.
"I'm 6 months along, almost 7."
"Wow." He said. "It's time to go down the aisle. You ready?"
I smiled.
He held his elbow out and I grabbed my bouquet.
And we walked down the aisle.
There wasn't a lot of people there, though.
Only Max's family was in the crowd.
Everyone else was standing with us.
We were halfway down the aisle.
My fans knew that I was pregnant, but not about the whole 'marriage thing'.
Since there was a PAX a few months ago, I thought that I had to tell them.
I was at the end of the aisle.
All I knew now, was that I was lost in Max's eyes.
And it looked like he was lost in mine.
"Vows?" The priest told us.
Max grabbed a card from his pocket.
I gave a slight chuckle.
"Shelby. How we first met was a little weird, but I won't get into that."
I smiled.
"And how you found the engagement ring, that was a little weird. But again, a story for another time. But I guess you are a little weird, but in a good way. Your quirkiness, levels my anger." He gave me a quick smile.
But gave me an odd look.
"I can't read off of this." He muttered.
I gave him a confused look.
"Shelby, Today's my favorite day. Not only do I get to marry my girlfriend, but I get to marry my best friend. And I promise to love you past death- because we will be cute ghosts that haunt people."
I laughed with the crowd.
"With this ring, I promise to love you. With this ring, I promise to treat you right. With this ring, I promise to care for our children even if I die trying. As this ring has no end or beginning, so shall my love for you be. As I place it on your finger, I give you all that I am, and all that I shall become."
"You may now place the ring on her finger." The priest said.
I held my hand out, and Max slid the ring on my finger.
The priest looked at me.
"Max. First of all, I had no idea you were so poetic."
Max chuckled.
"And I love you, there's no other way to explain how I feel about you. I find a weird peaceful feeling with you. But, every time I see you, I get the same jittery feeling."
Max smiled at me.
"We've both seen the best and worst of each other, and I love them both."
I held the ring between my fingers.
"With this ring, I swear to love you, to care for you, and to buy you as many corn dogs as you want."
I smiled.
"You may now place the ring on his finger."
I grabbed Max's hand and slid the ring on.
"Now, if anyone has any objections, speak now, or forever hold your peace."
We both looked around.
No one moved.
Max and I looked back around.
"Let us pray. At this time, I'll ask you, Max, and you, Shelby, to face each other & take each other's hands. Max, will you take Shelby to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"
"I will." Max answered.
"Shelby, Do you take Max to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?"
"I will." I said.
"By the power invested in me, you are now husband and wife. You may now kiss-"
The priest didn't stop talking, I just couldn't hear him over Max kissing me.
I smiled.
I looked at the crowd of people to see all of my friends, looking back at me.
Smiling.
I looked back at Max.
We were smiling.
Happy.
Complete.
