heres a update sry last chapter was short i wanted to leave a weird cliff

I looked at her confused for a moment replying "why would I need to forget that you almost said you're starving," her eyes were wide with fear and she responded "well....I...um...I," I put a hand on her shoulder and said "it's okay you can tell me." She sighed and said "you promise that you won't tell another person, no one can know, okay?" I nodded replying "I promise," she  gave me a weird glance like she was trying to tell if I was lying to her. Then she said "I don't have any money, or a home, I ran away from the orphanage, no one's going to adopt a 13 year old teenager, who's mentally traumatized because her parents died in a car crash with her brother when she was 12."

She quickly put her hands over her mouth and mumbled "I said too much already, I'm so stupid," I sat there in shock, my mouth gaping, I stuttered before I managed to say "don't you have any other family?" She shook her head and whispered "nope, all dead, can I grab some food before I leave please," I said "yea, go grab something to eat from the kitchen, it's downstairs on the left," I stood up and ran a hand through my hair. How am I supposed to let this girl leave without doing something she's severely underweight I'd guess 70-75 lbs, I know she's scared that I'll contact the police or the orphanage but I really just want to help her.

{Emily's P.O.V.}

I grabbed a few pieces of fruit and stuffed them in my jacket pockets, I then grabbed a granola bar and walked upstairs, to tell the lady I'm leaving, although it doesn't seem like she'll rat me out, maybe I'll come back sometime for food or water or I could ask her to wash some of my very few pairs of clothes. I walked into the room and said "hey, I'm going to get going I don't want to bother you, thanks for making sure I didn't die." She walked over and replied "it's no problem, and do you need me to point you the direction the the alley I found you in?" I said "yea if you could that would help me from getting lost, I might come back sometime to let you know I'm still alive, but other than that I guess this is goodbye, although I never got your name.

She smiled and extended a hand and said "I'm Demi," I shook her hand confused I swear I recognize that name from somewhere, but I can't pinpoint where, Demi walked me to her front door opened it and said "it's about a mile, right, just turn right when you get to the sidewalk and keep walking till you see the alley." I nodded and said "thank you for your kindness, bye," she called out "goodbye, stay safe and be careful, come back if you need help or anything like that," I kept walking and gave a thumbs up to let her know I heard her. I don't think I'll come back unless I seriously need to, it's risky for me to continuously go back to see someone, when the cops are looking for me I'm filled as a missing person if someone recognizes me from a poster on the police department, I'm screwed.

[2 Weeks Later]

I kneeled over the trash can and emptied the contents of my stomach which was almost nothing, anyway, I'm sick, have been for a few days maybe I should go see that chick, Demi, thats her name, she might be able to help me. I stood up and clutched my aching head and stomach, my legs are weak I only got about 6-7 steps before collapsing, on the sidewalk, maybe when she goes running again she'll see me and stop to help. Who am I kidding it's a long shot, I'm just hoping I don't get spotted by someone who'll turn me into the orphanage or the cops.

{Demi's P.O.V.}

I decided to squeeze a run in before I headed over to the studio to record a new song, I'm going to stop at the halfway point, and go back to my house, to get changed and ready, that girl Emily hasn't stopped by at all, I'm kinda worried every time I go running there's no trace of her, like she never existed. Maybe she's moved on to live somewhere else so she doesn't get caught-- my thoughts were broken by a familiar shape lying on the ground, Emily, I sprinted over and rolled her onto her back, she whispered "hey, nice seeing you again,...I...uh.... I need your help." I looked her over shes got puke stains on her shirt and in her hair, her eyes are glazed with tiredness, sickness is portrayed on almost every feature of her body.

I sighed and picked her up carefully she struggled at first complaining that she could walk on her own and that she's not a child that she can take care of herself well enough, but it's harder when she's sick with no one else to help her. I eventually told her to shut up and stop complaining, because I'm being kind enough to help her and not report her to the law enforcement, when we reached my house she opened the door for me since my hands were full. I laid her down on the floor in the bathroom and said "how long have you been sick, the truth please, and I want to know why you didn't come to me right away as soon as you realized you were sick, I can help you ya'know, I'm not letting you leave until your completely better either."
